Also, does each player HAVE to put in an extra $15 every week at the field, or is that just if we want to do drills beforehand? There seems to be conflicting information between your site and the NCPA HS site...

Also, you might wanna rephrase the "all expense paid trip" to nationals... the NCPA website says we only get $1100... which barley covers airfare now adays :/ .

Looking forward to getting out there to see what everyone's got!

EDIT: Oh yeah, bears lost :/
You must be from Purple Panthers...Nice!

You have until Wed Feb 2nd (midnight) to pay the season entry of $180 then it will increase $10/player to $210 until midnight on Friday Feb 4th.

Then you will be set for the whole season.

This series is running the NCPA Rules and everthing else but the Pricing...it is set up for the series.
Players will have to pay a weekly $15 field fee so if a player can't make it for a week or something, they will not have to cover costs for that week. The players there actually playing cover the costs.

Then paint is $40 per case and each team should go through about 2 cases each week.

From the NCPA MW HS Regionals @ CPX in Joliet, IL on March 26th, the winning team will get $1,200 for travel expenses and the whole NCPA HS Nationals tourney paid for including paint.

I plan on driving and doing it for under those costs.

Remember, it's SUNNY FLORIDA in April.

How'd it go? only 4 teams? Hey, that just means less competition - Juss' kidding.

In all seriousness, WHERE ARE THE WISCONSIN SCHOOLS AT?! There was one from IL today, and there will be at least one (I'm bringing a line down), maybe even two next week!

How was coaching handled? One coach, D side only? Im bringing 4 maybe 5, so we have an extra to coach.

Oh, and is the waiver online? we're carpooling, so only one guy's parents will be there.

Anyways, I hope to see more competition next week!

I dont think they'd be able to do anything about prizes unless more teams start signing up. But then again, you're fighting for a chance at that florida trip. For the full price of this series, I consider that a good enough prize. I didnt play, but i was there on saturday, and it was a blast. The couple different high schools that played talked it up with eachother off the field, making jokes, and pretty much learning from eachother. AND the tournament players had FREE pizza, i personally have never seen a tournament series do that. To me, it was a great event. The field was actually better than some other indoor facilities ive been to, the staff was very cooperative and helpful, and the refs were spot on with hits and maintaining a safe environment. Lets try and get more teams for this series.

You can check your teams National Rankings, compared across the country! -

http://www.paintball-players.org/sco...kings2011.html

Right now, we have Chicago BackDraft tied for #1 in the nation...keep it up!

NCPA events for college or high school do not have prizes for the placing teams in the tourneys...we use alternate methods of giving away prizes, so you don't need to win to walk away with the best prizes.

The prize for placing in the tourneys is working your way to a State Championship and on to the trip to the Nationals in sunny Florida!

ULTIMATE PRIZE - NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

It just so happened that Erik Clapper of Chicago BackDraft also won the drawing for the new LCD HDTV.

As the team count goes up, so will the prize values.

idk if dpk will be out again. having to pay 50 dollars to the appa then another 15 per player at the field plus paint is pretty ridiculous for what we get out of it. i think its just better off practicing on sundays seeing how there was only a few teams, not too much competition, and the prizes wernt that good.

I just think that more advertisment needs to be done. We as players can only do so much recruiting, especially when telling other players the prices. It is hard for a team of "newbs" to spend $50 + $15 + Paint money just to lose to more advanced teams who have been competing like Chicago, De Pere, and Oak Creek.

We have decided to move the HSCS Event #3 to next Saturday, Feb 19th, so there will be no tourney this weekend.

We already have 4 teams paid for event #3 and interest from a couple others, looking like 6 or 7 for this one!

Only one player from Oak Creek has tourney experience, the rest of the two lines consist of players that are trying paintball for the first time and using rental equipment. One player on OCK Blue has his own equipment but never played in a full tourney before, last saturday was 1st one.

If you want to get better as a player and team, this is what it takes - a lot of practice, "In order to be the best, you must beat the best".

We, and the sport, appreciate everyone that comes out, keep up the ball'n!

thing is its not beating the best. the competition varys so much and for the price your better off practicing on the side with teams like boom. its a good cause but some things in my opinion need to be thought over bettr
