haha you could legit get a sweet setup in time for the season if you just shop whiskeymilitia
otherwise its often possible to pick up older models from your local shop for cheap, and check craigslist. otherwise pretty typical sites are the-house.com or ccs and active mailorder. also tactics.com

I picked up a board, boots, and bindings from craigslist. I need some gloves and maybe new pants.

Thoughts on TAOF?
I really enjoyed it. Watched it with the fam and they seemed to enjoy it. The cinematography is incredible and the riding surely is next level.

Opinions on using my old Union Forces on a skate banana? I could get new bindings but these are in great condition so I'd prefer to just rock what I got. I ride almost all park.

no reason not to use them. if you got them and like them then just rock them. typically if i get a new deck i buy some new bindings for it just so i don't have to switch them out all the time.

Yeah I usually do too but my custom stairmaster is officially getting retired with cracks on both the tip and tail so there is no point in keeping the bindings on them anymore.

Yeah i agree, if you really like the ones you have now, and they aren't falling apart, then just keep using them. Save yourself money.

I don't want to actually destroy this one to bits because I put a little work into it after the top sheet came off on the first day I had it out.
I painted a base, used decals to let the wood show through under the base, did a gold splash and then topcoated it with lacquer I think.
It looks nothing like this anymore from wear and tear but a rather still keep it intact. Besides I got cash for a new board I just feel like it;s a waste to buy new bindings when they are still in good shape.

When I said base I was referring to the base coat of white primer and paint, not the actual base of the board itself. And many people who had the defective de-lamming stairmasters just painted theirs and had no issues with durability so i went that route as well. Figured I could either be a season without a board or say **** it, paint it and go ride. Lasted me a good 3 years I think of heavy abuse.

If it's a la nina repeat, mammoth is going to be extra brutal again.
Just swooped this jacket up on whiskey for $145 shipped. Anyone have any experience with this jacket/nike products? I'm wanting a jacket that will do the job and I won't have to worry about. Its for days when i don't feel like shredding (or going out in) the one piece.
http://www.departmentofgoods.com/nik...er-jacket-mens
Im lookin for jackets on geartrade. I've never lived in the snow/cold and i've never really snowboarded with a jacket. How crucial is the waterproofing rating? Should i go for something that's just straight up goretex?

Lol @ Canadian
You bastard
Work at 14,000 ft, hits -25*f daily, job was only fun because of the early morning fresh pow runs....grinning because I'm one of the luckiest snowboarders in the world at that very moment. Majority if you guys haven't experienced champagne pow, so cash.
