im pretty sure today didnt turn out the way i wanted it to
go to the slopes and saw s&r's. while im not a ski S&R i do have enough experience that i felt confidant offering my help. went back to my car grabbed my S&R gear and joined a group. turns out a guy had gotten lost/stuck the night before and it was thought he was in a tree well. spent til about noon searching for the guy before hearing the group below (one group in front one group in back to double check)calling in a non responsive body. guy was dead covered in not very much snow :/
then after all that had transpired and i went to get a beer on the ride down i had to help another guy who was stuck in a tree well
tldr, my day on the mountian got ruined by stupid people boarding in trees
i s&r all the time.
no wait i'm thinking of s&d.
but i can still relate, lots of risk planting that bomb, especially when you're the only one left on your team.
boarded with louie vito at bear yesterday. when i say with, i mean stalked him closely and didn't attempt any of **** he was throwing at all. also saw danny and the dingo and all that crew for grenade games 7.
Rode behind DK yesterday as he shredded some stuff. Followed him into the powder bowl and boosted the hip higher than him, not like it matters or anything though.
Met a super cute girl on the lift and she split before i got to number close. bummer

Well the local hill is officially closed for the season. We got a bit of footage the last two afternoons we went so I made another edit.

Edit: just fyi, my buddy decided to try a backflip for ****s the first day we went. He managed to land it third try which I was super stoked on! I am the one in the Nomis fenzy hoodie and orange jacket.
Oh and we apparently switch a setting on the camera the 2nd day without realizing it until after, which is why you'll notice some of the footage is darker than normal
it was 102* at my house on friday and i was up at bear yesterday having a ton of fun. It had to have been my last day of the season, no way the snow's gonna last.

My home hill as you saw in the video is built into a floodway. For those who are not aware, the purpose of a floodway is to divert rising river levels each spring that run through my city. Once the snow starts to melt at all, they gotta shut down because if the city opens the floodway gates, the hill would get completely submersed in water. So although our temperatures arent all that warm, my season was done last week.
my mountain closed yesterday. so that was my last time there, 60* and sunny was definitely nice. they still have enough snow to stay open and the parks still up but theyre closing anyway.
My home mountain got over 70cm's (28 inches) of snow between Saturday and Sunday morning, 90cm's (35 inches) from Friday night to Sunday morning. Made for a FANTASTIC day of riding on Sunday. Too bad they're only open next weekend now and that's it.
