Im sure an argument can be made for each camp; CoC, HCSC, and windells. But at the end of the day, each has snowboarding in the summer, with pros and bros. They all have skateparks and after riding activities.

Minus HCSC. I read their campus is in the middle of town and there's nothing to do. Windells has a dirty skate park. Coc just has a ton of stuff you can do after riding. If I go to coc it's gona cost me around 2k after airfare and all that. Is coc tax deductible?

hey guys quick question..
just picked up a new pair of boots which i love, but towards the end of the day my left(front) foot starts to hurt BAD..especially in my toes, and especially when carving heelside - sometimes so much that i cant hold my heelside edge and i eat it. it only happens at the end of the day, and even though my right foot is always a little tender after a hard day riding, my left foot is on fire. At first I thought the boots were maybe too small (theyre 9.5s and my toes just touch the inside of the toe in the boot), so I had heel lifts put in to pull my toes back a little. I did get a little more room, but the same thing happened anyway this past weekend. Im thinking its maybe my stance (15* front, 0* back) or maybe the boots just arent broken in enough yet? BTW theyre Burton Ozone boots if that matters.

If they are new, they have to be broken in a bit. Give them time.

first, i would get rid of those heel things. you want boots to be snug. second, i would consider changing the stance. since it happens after a long day of riding, i would say that its more due to a prolonged uncomfortable position, not just pinching. also, if your toes hurt when you are doing a "hard" carve, then chances are you are doing something wrong.

the heel things made a difference of maybe 1/4"..for the better, id say. the boots are definitely snug - almost zero heel lift and they feel good everywhere but my toes at the end of the day.
im considered adding some negative angle to my back foot, but its so weird - it only happens when im tired, at the end of the day, and i really need to carve hard from toeside to heelside - like maybe if im speed checking hard on a steep or something. the pressure gets so intense that i have to stop digging in that edge and i end up sliding out.

okay lol..say ive been snowboarding pretty hard since like 11am and around 3 or so, all of a sudden my boot seems to feel tighter and my toes feel like theyre jammed up and are starting to hurt. im riding, and im going down a pretty steep black or something, and i need to speed check so i go heelside hard. for some reason, thats when it hurts the worst, and the pressure of digging my edge in makes it worse, so ill lay off it and end up with the board sliding out from under me.
i cant figure out why that would happen all of a sudden. i thought maybe it could be the angle of my front or back foot, but it wouldnt make sense when it only hurts at the end of the day.

lace your boots tighter around the foot portion of the boot, but keep it looser further up the ankle. you are cutting circulation from your toes, when you edge, this pushes dead blood into your toes and can cause this pain.
if that doesn't work, often a really wide stance has to do with it. maybe consider a binding with a rocker base plate like the wedgie from ride or romes v rod base plates. like they advertise, it gives a more nature feel when riding a wide stance.

Okay now that made no sense. I'm pretty sure your feet are swelling if the boot all of a sudden feels tighter. This happens to one of my friends, if she takes her boot off she can't put it back on because er feet swell. I can't see how a wide stance would do that but it's possible I guess. And I think you mean canted base plate. Get some really thin socks and wait for your boots to break in. To be honest everything in this thread is a shot in the dark so just go into your local shop and ask them.

Are your boots a single BOA system? Single boas are known to overtighten on the foot over the course of the day due to leaning nito your boots and loosening the upper portion.
