Torpedo reg question

On the old torpedo regs, does it matter which side of the reg you put the elbow/macroline out to the asa versus the stopper thingy?
someone told me that the reg will only work if the macroline elbow is on a specific side of it, but they look like they are at the exact same height so I didn't think it would make a difference.

Anyone know the answer to this? thanks

One side is for a gauge.

Put it into the side with the darkness inside, not the one where you can see brass parts.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the gauge goes in the side with a tiny hole and the macro goes into the side with the spring/piston type thing.

Correct.

If you do this bacward, you will send 450psi(if you follow the manual) through your gun and to your lpr, which may cause it to spike and cause other issues.

This is incorrect (wrong.)

You MUST put the hose fitting in the hole which contains brass parts (a spring and piston.)

YES!

It makes a huge difference. One side is a gauge port, and the other the input.

If you put it in the gauge port, you will completely bypass the reg.

Foid, if there is more than one port on the reg, check it before you go any farther.
