If it's an IDI it's not a Powerstroke. Also why the hell are you wasting money on an IDI?

Powerstrokes are all Navistar so I'm not sure how that makes it worse.

No, the 6.7 was produced and built by ford, in house.

You're right about the 6.7 but I'm still not sure why it being a Navistar engine makes it worse than not being a Powerstroke.

Theres a reason why anyone who knows a decent amount about diesel engines steer clear of powerstrokes.
I mean the latest 7.3 was ok, but its still not a good engine compared to the cummins engines or duramax. The new 6.7 has high hopes and hopefully lives up to what its supposed to be.

They're not mechanically inclined enough to know how to prevent or repair the issues.

well, since you are putting the 7.3 under a duramax your opinion no longer matters because you obviously don't know anything about diesel engines besides what looks pretty and goes fast.
i own a 7.3 idi because it gets a cord of wood up and over the mountains easily
(a cord is 4x4x8 since none of you that own trucks actually haul with them)

Why would we do that when we could just pay someone else to do it?
