Just getting back into the game - Bought a DM9

It should be here tomorrow, I'm pretty excited, it's been a while. I've still got a halo b that I'll be using until I can get ahold of a rotor.. The gun is stock but I have been looking at modifications. I read all the stickies and it seems like every bolt isn't worth it.. Is there anything worth doing price wise?

get a service kit;
get a good lube of your choice.
get a good trigger of your choice.

then you are pretty much set

Have fun with it

Sounds good! I had a dm6 back in the day that I loved so I couldn't turn down a 9 for half the price I sold my 6 for.. Any trigger recommendation?

Critical, Violent, CP and the Ironmen triggers seems to be the common choices...

Congrats on your DM9 - I love mine! Still one of my most quiet and smoothest shooting markers out there.

Parts Kit - or O-Ring supply (Keep them on hand just in case you need them)
Lube - I absolutely Love Monkey Poo
Trigger - Critical with the repelling magnetic return - freaking snappy and awesome.

As far as bolts Price wise - there was a killer BillyWing bolt with a can even in the B/S/T for cheap....
I went 3 ways and tried them all.
1) Pooty51 - polished bolt/can
2) BillyWing Bolt - Dye Polished setup and tophat
3) TechT L7

I liked them all really, I think TechT gets a bad rap on their L7 bolt for the DM/PM series because setup is so different from the "norm" Most of "us" DM owners try to run the Lowest LPR possible, and a high dwell. With the L7 the LPR is all but wide open, and the dwell super low. I can still put my finger into the breech and it's soft...... but people have a hard time on getting it setup properly.

Anyway - I love the stock - DM bolt and I think you will find on here that every one loves it!

Love my DM9 and PM8

DM's are awesome stock... the only reason I have a L7 is that my bolt got a tiny marring in it and it leaked like no other, I have noticed some major improvements with the L7 but it took a few cases of paint and some tinkering to get it perfect

Holy **** man, I was wondering where it would be by now.. How is it shooting? It was def my favorite gun, just got the dm9 in this morning! Looks good, and the seller included a TON of orings for different things, I'm going to a buddys later to throw some paint through it.. and pick up some lube from the local shop.

Yea it still looks pretty much the same and still shoots great. I probably haven't even put 10 cases thru it. What kind of lube are you going to use?

The shop didn't have any for sale, but the tech serviced it up real quick for free

Bought a buddies 45/45 for 60 bucks and shot a hopper through it, shot great but was held back by the halo b.
