I just traded my Ego 7 for a Dye DM10 and the eye pipe that is in it is cracked pretty good, but still usable. Since the replacement eye pipes for the DM's are $20 and the "NT update kits" come with a NT eye pipe for only $10, I was wondering if I could save a couple bucks by using that and possibly even improve performance? I don't see why it would not work, but tell me if you know. Thanks in advance...

Won't work properly without modification, in which case you might as well just get the DM9 pipe and save yourself the trouble.

It'll work, it just keeps the barrel from screwing in all the way.

Overall though, no, get the right one.
