The best shooting DM

Ive wanted a luxe for the longest time but I really dont have the money, so I decided to save myself some cash and go for a DM. Ive shot egos in the past and loved them, but I feel as if it is time for a change.
Im sure there is thread already asking this but i could not find it, in your opinion, what has been your best shooting DM?
Personally Ive heard a lot about Dm8's which I kind of have my eye on, but I want everyone's opinion.
Thank you

best shooting = lockout dm3 (wasnt personally owned but an old teamate of mines back in the day)

personal best = dm4

most practical dm7

any dm you get will shoot fine, you just have to know how to 2 tune it towards your liking. smoothness vs efficiency

You should go for the luxe. ive shot all the dm's and i have to say the luxe is the smoothest and quietest shot compared to them all. save up the extra dough and you wont be disappointed.

Was this what he asked for? No, and I would rather have an item that comes from a company that stands behind their product than one that bases its design from a dead company....

All Dm's shoot great...IMO the dm7 or 9 is the best shooting.....9's are cheap right now...(well cheaper)

The Smoothest shoot gun you can get is a marq 7. I have shot DM's PM's Shockers and timmies. Marq is by far the smoothest, and the thing that will blow your mind is that its a poppet

I have a lot of guns in my day: Gen-E matrix, Toxic Matrix, 2k2 timmy, 2k6 timmy, Angel LCD, Shocker. And by far loved the old matrix's the most, yes they are heavy but if that is a problem then you need to hit the gym a little more. They are so so smooth and probably the quietest gun I have ever seen.

I remember lending my Gen-E to a team mate when I was reffing, and he was shooting right past me down the snake. I could hear the balls flying past me but could not hear where the shots were coming from.

I know you probably dont want a old matrix, so I would say any of the DMs will be fairly similar. I am currently shooting a DM7 and really like it; its quiet(ish) and pretty smooth (not as smooth as the old matrix) but that is probably cause of the weight difference.

Just my 2cents

yeah im really not looking for any old guns, Ive had my fair share of timmys. I believe you 100% on the old Matrix on how smooth and quiet it was, I guarantee that it does have to do with the weight.

Oh I know, they were great guns I kind of wish I still had my Toxic matrix. That thing has orgasmic, so smooth, fast, quiet, and NEVER chopped due to the eyes as well as how soft the bolt would cycle forward.

I dont quite understand why the new DMs LPR seem to require more pressure to cycle the bolt :S

Concerning the marqs, they are smooth for a poppit, though I have never shot one that could get as smooth as a dm. My teammate has one and he still likes the DM as far as kick and sound goes.

all the dm's will shot about the same. the main thing you would have to know is how to tune or know some one who can.
other than that look at dm's that are in your price range and go for the ones you can aford that have the best bang for your buck. now newer models will have better goodies than older ones. like eye pipes or better eyepipes(dm9)
stuff like that.

ive had lots and lots of dms....ive shot everything out there and i just sold my darq marq it didn't have anything on my dm10. get a im9 if u can it was the best dm out since the dm4 i miss it, but the 10 im shooting now is just about as good as my 9s were. new bolt will help a bw or tech t (set up correctly).
or if the 9 is outa your range get a dm7 they are almost just as good plus most of them come heavily upgraded.

Old school matrix is the smoothest of guns when tuned properly. All DM's are great guns and you cant go wrong. If its the weight of the DM3, CnC one like this, compared to my DM7, without actually weighing it, they are close.

But then again, this cost more than a DM9 to make........lol.
