Rocking an 07 ego with virtue board. The gun has chopping issues with semi brittle paint and it destroys detents constantly. Because of this I'm thinking of buying a pooty modded cure 3+ bolt and one of the zick kits.

My question is- should I just get the zick2 at this point or a zick1? Is the difference between the two noticeable?

Oh yeah, and a friend of mine has a zick1 I can probably get from him for pretty cheap (came out of his Etek3 LT) is it a drop in replacement or do I need a different back cap in order for it to work? (or would he have the back cap as well- since he upgraded to a zick2)

I would get the cure3+ from pooty, you won't be disappointed. If he upgraded to a zick2 he should have the stock cap for the stock zick 1. Either will help shoot smoother and if you can get it cheap go for it.

Turns out he didn't end up getting that zick2.. So do you think both are so similar it doesn't really matter?

You can get a hush bolt? I only got virtue laser eyes in my 11. Go buy paint, break it in, and trust me it will be very very quiet. Mine is almost the same as a geo at the moment. Slightly louder. Just get some PAINT in the gun.

I have an ego 7 with stock barrel, I want to upgrade possibly to a shaft 4 or something..i want to keep the barrel tip as it is a ccu kit color would it be worth it just to get the back?

there was a fairly long thread on the hush bolt. lots of people's opinions. i personally didn't really notice much of a difference as compared to a cure 3.

the older shaft barrels and the new shaft 4 are not compatable. the back is male threaded on both ends on the shaft 4, whereas the older shaft backs are male threaded on the marker end and female threaded on the tip end.

I've got an EGO 10, love it to death but I like the 11, even better. Just the way it feels and shoots along with it's speed. I love the slimmer profile of it also. What should I do to it?

stick with your stock zick that is not going to make much of a difference. my recommendation if you are breaking paint is to get a LP valve and a hush bolt. the LP valve requires less pressure so when you install it your FPS will be running 300+ so you will have to lower the pressure on your hpr. then slap in a hush and your FPS will increase by an additional 20-30 FPS and you will again have to lower your HPR reg pressure.

bottom line is lower pressure = softer shot and gentler on paint.

Stock 07 ego w/stock varrel/new style freak
I'm looking for in order:
1) less kick
2) lower sound signature (quieter)
3) efficiency

My thoughts were buying:
1) zick 2
2) hush bolt
3) violent reg

What do you think about my choices, should they be substituted for a different model/type? Should my purchases be made in a different order based on my priorities? Will these upgrades work well together?

Also, what exactily is a pooty ,mod and what does it do?

does any one know if you can use the orginal back cap for the zick 1 and use it on the zick 2 and are u able to swap bolts while the marker is aired up ive seen it in videos altho i wasnt sure if they degassed it first

NO the zick 1 and Zick 2 have specific rammer caps that can only be used with the rammer they are designed for . So NO that cannot be swapped.

YES you can remove the bolt while the marker is aired up.
