Yes there will be different prizes. How different depends on how many more or less teams.

Yes i know we both agreed on the beginner, but if also at the bottom of the classifications a L3 team is allowed 1 L2 player( L2 can have played a nationaly event) We only did this because we canceled the L2 division. But by the (Cannot have played a national ever!!!) Mean the other 2 or 3 players can not of ever played a national other than the 1 L2 player.

I honestly thought the MPS was a dead series, most of the fields that supported them in the past were not happy with how things were managed last year. I am not surprised they didnt ask any of us to participate in the series this year as we were all unhappy.
For me as a field owner it has to make financial sense and if I didnt have rec-ball and groups the same day as the MPS it would have been a loss. Kee will charge you shipping both ways so be ready to pay $200 for a skid of unused paint to get shipped back to Kee they will also upcharge you on paint $5 more than if you were to purchase it on your own.
There is no sarcasim in the good luck. I mean good luck as we have alot of teams that love to play alot of events the more the marrier...
|
And Matte you misunderstood my post, i was in no way making fun or being sarcastic. I was only saying you made a valid point and that i really was interested to see what you put on.
And yes i know you have done a series in the past, but i hadnt really see you put on a full series until this previous summer with the 3man. But i also know you do have a record for teams.
If you would like to discuss this more you can call me, you know my number and i am in no way mad. Its just that you cant tell tone of voice on the computer. So Goodluck in your series and i guess ill see you around.

Can we please get back on topic?
Yes RaceTo 2 will be best 2 out of 3.
If anyone has a problem, complaint or questions just PM or email me @ tornadoalleyks@yahoo.com.
Why No Oklahoma event?
Ryan has the Avid Series going strong and Joplin is like 10 miles from Oklahoma!
Why did I not hold a Wichita event?
I had 2 fields that were part of the series. Cutting back to 3 events I couldn't hold an event at both. Jake from Elite Sports had been in contact with me all year so basically I had to choose. If I would have held an event at one or the other Wichita field I would have pissed off the field I didn't pick. Matte and Jimmy both have nice fields and great reffing crews. Like Matte posted it wasn't worth his time for the amount of money he made by host an event. Jimmy expressed concerns last season about doing an event in the rainy season because of flooding issues, well with the 2011 dates event 1 has to be indoors and there is a possibility of rain in April and June. So I went with Elite Sports in Salina. Jake has put a ton of work into his field and has 2 tourney fields that will work out great for the MPS. Jake is also stepping up and helping me secure more sponsors for the MPS so I can have more to offer to the players.
About the concerns about the size of 280's field it shouldn't really be a problem. Like they said, they play 5-man on it all the time. The field will be the same size for everyone!
About the issues posted about Joplin. Dave and Alex have a great field, Tim and his Kick'n Factory crew are one of the best most experienced ref crews around! Fun Fact 99.9 of moms, girlfriends and female players appreciate indoor plumbing!!! Paintball Ridge has one of the nicest pro shops around with clean indoor restrooms!!!

the size of the field isnt the problem with 280, its the staging area. with 15, 5man teams, plus there gear, parents, gfs, wife's, etc. its going to be really really tight

Buck its not really that bad. I have been there when they offered byop sundays. And there was at least 18 teams there, now they may have not been all 5man but there was ALOT of people there and it you can still walk around watch games and etc. Its really not going to be as bad as some people think. Just my .02 cents.

I have a new team, we did pretty good this year as of 3man, but we're all wanting to go 5man, And i thought MPS would be a good start since i have played in the MPS a year ago...but from what i'm reading, there looks like there's been alot of problems going on. If my team decides to sign up, would it be worth it?

Yes there has been some problems in the past with MPS, but they are trying to do there best to address those problems. As for if it is worth it or not, all i can say is they have a good event prize package and they have a good series package also. And if you were to sign up for the first event and you didnt like it you could always choose not to play the rest of the series. I guess its really up to you on what you would want to do. The series is trying hard to make changes and make it more fun for the players.

Question.
How will the level classification work? Still APPA?

They will use APPA, but classification might be moving away from L4,L3,L2 style to using what everyone else uses None, D5,D4,D3. Maybe George or Tim will jump on and clarrify, but im pretty sure this is what they are going to do.

Okay, cool. So if we played L4 this past season, where would we start off? Out of curiosity.
