Are you firing the marker after each adjustment to clear and recharge the regulator? You won't see the changes by simply turning the adjustment screws.

Remove the retention screw at the bottom of the ASA and pull out the piston plunger. Remove excess grease ensuring that it is only lightly lube and then re-install. The purging system also works better with lower pressure tanks (working ideally best with slp). With a low pressure tank I would occasionally not get a purge whereas I know get a full purge each time. The entire marker works best off of SLP as a matter of fact.

When I chrono my guns I usually fire at least 5 shots between adjustments. This clears out all air after the reg and you get the nearly adjusted pressure into the marker. It does waste more paint but you will get better chrono readings.

slp isnt needed. LP is highly recommended. since you already have an LP reg, your fine. the SLP does make the gun run at its full potential (it was made specifically for the G6R and vic if you didnt know).

some that have the SLP will say get it, but many others only have an LP reg and it works perfectly (like for myself )

The gun will operate fine with either although the marker definately does see improvements running off SLP as that is what the gun was designed around. You will get more shots out of your tank, the ASA bleed works better, and the internal air line seals should hold up the best. At some point it might not be a bad upgrade but it isn't necessary for the gun to still perform well.

Okay so I got to the shop today and did a shooting video. I wasn't able to get the pressure tester gauges in the video but I took pictures then started the video. The quality is terrible but its from a digital camera that also takes video's, and the camera man is all sorts of fail at taking video's.

Installed my LP poppet today with the same settings at this thread's creator, except my dwell is 5, not 4. It shot 299, 299, 301. Really amazing stuff.

Still cant get my G6r to shoot anywhere close to the 290's with those settings and the LP poppit... HP reg has been disassembled, degreased, re-greased (which fixed the inability to adjust the HP pressure) but I have to maintain a 75/195 setting to shoot in the low 280s... consistency is an issue as well the difference seems to average to +/- 8 or so.. WTF is the deal?

Each gun is different. I can't use that low of an lpr setting or dwell on mine either but some people can. He also has a quite a bit of paint through his I believe. Just run it at whatever settings give you the best performance.

Patience is a virtue for a reason I suppose. I still love this wonder widget anyhow. I know there was some testing on the eigenram somewhere in the deep recesses of these threads... what effect did they have on operating pressures?
