Odd, those settings seem fairly similar to the stock settings aside from the low dwell and slightly lower lpr. How has your efficiency been in comparison to the stock poppit?
Also, damn you for enticing me into another purchase for my G6R!

Ordered up an LP poppit to give it a try. Im guessing I will probably end up using the stock poppit more for the efficiency gain but I had to have the LP to see what people were raving about

im stuck between this and a vic but i think im going with this and im getting the LP poppit and SLP reg ninja tank.
i talked to blast today and you can buy the LP off them. is this the same one? sorry if thats a dumb question. i figured id be better that way cuz they could test it with the lp poppit and have my pressures already set with it in

The low pressure poppit everyone is talking about is a Bob Long Gen6 Low pressure poppit. So yes it is the same one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Gen6 poppit is the same as the Gen5? If so, I have one in my Protege that I will be swapping to the G6 as soon as its broken in. thanks for the thread!

That is correct. It is the exact same poppit just re-packaged as a gen6. I spoke directly to Matt about this (actually when they had just finished testing the lp poppit). I have a small write up about it in my "First Impressions on the G6R" thread. Your LP Poppit out of your Protege will work perfectly.
Here are the settings BLAST used and the results.
1838 shots chrono'ing 285-300 using a Ninja 70/4500 tank with output set at 500psi (non slp). Hpr setting was 170, LPR setting was 70, Dwell was set at 6.

Thanks Mr. Stealthy. I did read your thread a while ago, I'll have another look at it because I'm sure there are other little tidbits that I missed.

I have been continuously updating it with new information I find so check back every once in a while if you are curious about anything related to the G6R.

So does the LP poppit make a huge difference? I'm stuck between a G6R and a Vic and the Vics are coming with free tanks when bought for 1174.... So I dunno wether to get this with the LP (getting this as a gift with the pressure tester from the girlfriend ) and a SLP ninja tank ( so that would be about 850 + 170)or just get the Vic with the free LP crossfire tank. Or on compulsive they have them for 1099 with a free ninja tank. I have a marq 6 and love it but heard nothing but amazing things about this gun.

ok well finally managed to get to the field today with the lurker ram and lp poppit installed, and i could not get my G6R to chrono over 250 without getting the lpr over 85 and hpr over 210.
so....i feel this means that we can really use only one or the other.
im dropping back in the stock ram and keeping the lp poppit.

I suspected a while back (and my suspicion was shared by Lurker) that the two would probably not work well in conjunction with each other. Both are designed to allow more air to get through each time the poppit actuates. The end result when using both is a less than ideal amount of air being let through each time. I haven't heard of anyone not being able to chrono high with both but I have heard people complain about bad air efficiency. Both are a nice upgrade but you definately have to pick one or the other.
