when you said you buffed the bolt pin, did you mean you roughed it? a rough surface would yield a better anchor point for your epoxy/jb weld etc.
i love reading your threads, you have a great mind and eye for this stuff

Great stuff
Just bought a used quest, original frame. I think it's a Gen3 with several upgrades including a GM bolt and 07 pin. I was thinking about getting the new 4B bolt from TAS but it looks like your mods would get most of what that offers. It's really great to see folks working to make the quest better. Thanks!

Question
When you say "drill a hole on the tip and fill it with JB WELD" in the third step, do you mean fill the syringe cap with JB weld?

Did you drill the hole on the cap or on the bolt pin itself?

Finally got ot try out the gun with the modded lpr cap
The recharge rate is better, with less guage pin movement on each shot. I left it at the current pressure (80) and have not tried to lower it. It shoots great.

How did you measure where to drill the hole? I know it has to be near the spring, but what did you go by to mark your spot?
Thanks for the assistance!

I eyeballed it from juits picture. I don't think the placement is too important. I'll take my own pic when I get home.
Try to get the hole at the front end of one of the grooves on the cap.

Is that QuickSteel just an epoxy? My local store has Loc-Tite epoxies (that's a dope word) and a bunch of epoxy putties for like filling holes in lawn mowers or boats. Is that stuff legit for this?

as I recal critical has the tape included or has a thicker chamber pin so it would just need the ramps
U would need a cheap one from I&Isports to do a fully custumized one

I don't believe that it is actually marketed as being a 'Critical' Snatch pin - new production (assuming that these aren't just the latest versions of old stock Snatches) just seems to have quietly supplanted the old parts. The new/newer Snatch pins do now have a wider shaft between the two front o-rings, so acts somewhat like a tape mod, releasing less air volume per shot - assuming that the air chamber is completely emptied with each shot.
