2003 Shocker Technical Information.

I just want a thread that gets into the Shocker 2003, not just one that discusses how cool it is or what not. So if you have any good techinical advice or information. Post it up. I'll start with this very informative picture. Thank you to Hyper Sport Works, dinger0007 and pbnation.com for this.

how bout a leak from inside the gun. the 2 rods that go in the back, i think there is a leak on the left side b/c of o rings bou no air is comin out the back of the gun. its all internal. i havnt taken the grip frame off so i sont think that the solinoid screws are loose but i have no idea. i dont want to sent it back again b/c its only a small leak and im sure i could fix it if i knew what it was....any ideas?

a little further insight. the rod on the left side has a very crushable tip. if you bend it, it will leak!

just being curious....
the oring sizes on the image.

I would assume that the first number is the size then the second number is the durometer? All urethane or are some nitrile?

also....have these changed since the gun was introduced?

Yes on the size and durometer. Not sure if they have changed since the release.

Here is what I was told by the SP techs.

22/70 - Buna/Nitrile
12/70 - Urethane
17/70 - Urethane
16/70 - Urethane

Well from left to right we can call it the following

Keg ---> Bolt ---> Vase ---> Cone

Keg - Because it looks like a keg
Bolt - I'm assuming thats the moving piece
Vase - when you stant it up it looks like a flower vase
Cone - It looks like a street cone when you sit it back part down

What do you guys think?

So wordy, I'm surprised. Usually gun techs are a little more lazy about name creating. Oh well. If thats the general consensus then let it be. Unless we want to start a new trend.

Firing cylinder - Keg

Mine seems simpler. :-)

A word of advice. If you do not read the manual you will regret taking the shocker apart. I have to send mine into smart parts because a mistake on my part. When taking off your grip frame slide it back 1/18th of an inch then slowly pull down. The switch inside the board will rip off with ease if you do not slide it. I know from exp.
