I think the rule of thumb is take the operating pressure of your gun, then add 200 to it. That is what your input pressure should be AT MINIMUM. But i have tried this on a few other guns and i get much better results if I use 300-400 over.

Very interesting information. We want to thank everyone for their input so far.

Even though the adjustable regulator and other regulators will work on the Luxe, we're just wondering if it would get any additional efficiency by using a specific output pressure, similar to what we did on the SLP and Bob Long's markers.

Keep the posts coming. We're still very interested in what the Luxe community has to say.

Hey Rob,
I'm running my LUXE on a Ninja 68/45 HP cause it needs more air.
I'm planning on using the Ninja 50/45 HP you sent me recently on my GEO2, since that's supposed to be more Air Efficient for a Spoolie.
I believe you told me Ninja Tanks Regs are set at 800PSI from Factory?
If there is a BIG BENEFIT on running both my guns on LP instead of HP. I would switch ASAP. But from people that answered my questions about LP vs HP, it's just preference.
Of course this is people's opinion.
NINJA ROCKS!!

I think the issue is that your asking players. I would assume talking to Daryl trent would be the better route. What i mean is that he would have the specifics of what you are asking for. Input pressure and pressure characteristics. Each luxe is different unlike the g6r. Now if you made a reg that worked 100% with stock settings from DLX I would be all over it. Its unfortunate that a lot of players just assume stock settings suck. Im hoping that makes some sense. Either way thank you for looking into this!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your input. The reason we are going direct to owners is because the manual states high pressure. Players and dealers are calling and messaging us requesting 550psi opp and lower pressures, which is mid and low pressure. If the Luxe manual states high pressure but players and dealers are requesting low and mid pressure, then there might be something the players know about that the manufacturer might not be aware of. We're taking all feedback into consideration and we're also planning on contacting the manufacturer but we need data from you guys before we can go back to Darryl and ask for input.

Just because the manual recommends it doesn't mean that other inputs can't be used. The manual also recommends to use Sleek and UHMW along with Urethane orings. Luxes run fine without those also. I'm glad Ninja is taking the time to relate to the players and ask THEM what works. I've used a Ninja with no shims in it on my luxe with zero issues.

its understandable, i use HP ninja regs on my luxe. Never had any issues. that being said i think they recommend HP because if something is not up to par on a lower pressure setup ( both regs or otherwise) there might be issues with drop-off and inconsistencies. Using a HP reg would avoid alot of those issues per say. that being said I am happy that ninja is looking at the luxe for options ( for the players). If you find an OP that works etc... I will be all over this regulator.

*Got your PM, thanks for the heads up!*

Thanks fetus. If the manual states about 650psi opp but players like ragin are using about 450-550psi opp and not having problems, then would a player using a luxe get more efficiency or a better feel when shooting using the 650psi opp or 450-550psi opp? Unfortunately, we do not own a Luxe or have one available for testing so this is why we need your guys feedback.

Keep the comments coming. This is all good information

Again, thanks for everyone's input. One of the more visible gun modders on PBNation (Pooty51) will be doing some field testing for Ninja. He's created some great mod's for markers and will be trying out an SLP and a Ninja 550psi opp regulator we're designing for the Luxe in the next few months.

Any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated. Please mention any recommendations, concerns, or ideas you have.

I will also be testing a Ninja fixed output reg set to 400psi. Once I get it I will break it down and take some pics. I'm looking forward to some good results with the new reg.

Be on the lookout for some new stuff coming from Ninja in the future. Great company that listens and gives the players what they want.

This may not be the right place to ask this but, what will the benefit be of using a fixed pressure of 400psi?? I use both high and low pressure on my Luxe and don't see any difference in performance or efficiency with either one.
