MP regs and the g6r

I'll be an owner of a g6r soon enough and was wondering if anyone has used a myth reg on a g6r yet.

I know that they're meant to run off LP or SLP, just wondering if someone has tested the waters yet

Myth reg will work, its just recommend to use LP and recommend to use SLP for max efficiency.

I noticed when I used my Ninja reg that was set up for LP (all shims removed), the pressure of the reg was still 500 psi. When degassing the ASA with the Ninja set up at LP, the ASA didn't purge all the air right away. Hard to explain, but with the SLP reg, the ASA purges the air very easily.

Well I've had the SLP for a few weeks. The Ninja reg I've had for a while, I just took off the shims a few weeks ago. I switched between the two to see if there was any difference in degassing, and there is.

Well I know a after few uses of the Asa on the g6r, all the excess lube on the asa plunger starts to where off and then it will purge properly. Mine didn't purge fully for like the first 10 times

I would convert your current tank set up to LP. I have heard several stories about blown seals from using higher pressure tank setups to include one story about a MP tank issue at NPPL Vegas. With almost all manufacturers now offering some sort of conversion for around $10-15, you have to ask yourself if it is really worth it to half *** it. This question is much the same as asking if you can use different lubricants on the marker. You can, but it simply is not a good idea to go outside the markers design range. Good luck and have fun with her.
