just wondering if anyone has any stories like this to share

so over the summer i was playing paintball in the woods behind my house with 5 of my friends. we we far away from anyones houses so that there was no chance of any paintballs hitting anyones house. some of us were wearing camo and we had milsim markers so they looked like real guns. but as i metioned we were nowhere near anyone elses property. after a few games we were sitting down taking a break relaxing when out of no where 6 cops with guns drawn come up screaming at at to put our hands where we could see them. we of course listened. apaarently someone had seen us going back into the woods (although we never left my property) and reported 6 guys armed with automatic weapons dressed in camo. the thing was other than when we were playing we all had bright colored barrel covers on our guns. the cops just told us we werent allowed to play on my property any more (is that legal to do? my town or state has no laws preventing it as long as paint doesnt end up on other peoples property) and sent us back to my house

If your in city/town limits, some towns/citys have a law where you can not fire airsoft/BB/pellet/paintball guns within the limits of the town. It would also be considered disturbing the peace.

i went to the town hall and asked if there were any laws preventing me from shooting my paintball gun on my property. they said as long as i wasnt hitting or getting paint on anyone elses property that there was no issue. and the cops didnt mention anything about disturbing the peace but its possible.

But do you honestly think that the people that called you in know anything about paintball? that you paintball?

If I seen a group of people running around in the woods all camo'd and "realist" guns(distance makes it harder to see what it really is), I to would probably call the cops if I didn't know they were just playing a game with non lethal guns.

Fixed. Consult your local laws, you're likely to find something. Even here in a little town of under 20k people, we've got that on the books.

And yes, the videos from the site in question are most definitely not allowed here.
