when the water gets to the board it can easily create a short and fry your board. the grips are not water tight, expecially given the holes on the bottom of the grips so that you can hear the speaker.

I live in SoCal too and I am not going to play with my Luxe in this weather.

The boards are water resistant
I have fully submerged my entire luxe with water shooting out of the bolt assembly and my gun going to a foot deep puddle
It won't fry from a little water

I've played in rain before with mine. It won't hurt your gun.

This is incorrect. The board is water resistant. If you are hesitant take off your grips and wrap the grip frame in electrical tape.

Unless you decide to throw your luxe in a pool and electrify it, i highly doubt one small drop will short out the entire board.

i know from experience, the luxe will work in the rain without a problem. But just to be safe id stay away form puddles.

to be safe, take off the grips and wrap the area with electrical tape, then re-apply the grips.
but the boards have a rubber coating if i'm correct which prevents water damage

I don't even think the field will be up this weekend. Too much rain and everyone's taking the week off.
