What made you go to OChem? I've heard Microbio isn't the best of choices as a major, but I don't see why yet.
Edit:
Oops, I thought you changed to OChem jajaja my bad. Still, what made you change majors?

You will be surprised how many people "longboard" when you get to college .......
Only to find out they are all posers and can barely stop on a board

Are there any useful links/videos someone can send me so I can learn how to pump??? That would be most useful, and I would be most appreciative.

There are some on the fish I know. Just too lazy to find them.
First off, you can't do it on a drop thru.
-Put you top foot right over/on the front truck
-Now picture a pitcher scraping the mound with his foot. It's like this on the board with your front foot.
-The KEY is to move your HIPS and turn/move your SHOULDERS. I look goofy as hell doing it but then again I can pump for miles.
-You should feel a pretty good workout in your calfs
But when I first learned it, I saw some videos. Youtube it

Finger finally got good enough to slide. Was really cool. I started on a small hill so I could pick up a little speed. At first I wasn't fully commiting and I would bust my ***. Once I finally got the balls to commit I was sliding all of the place

Awesomeness
I virtually applaud for you haha.
As for me, I'm no where near being able to pump on my board.

Dayum! Snowball fight, anyone?
I live in the desert, so snow is pretty big here haha.
I'm looking into a few boards here and there. Something that could allow me get some really good carving and allow me to dance on it pretty well. Would you guys say Gravity or Never Summer boards are good for that kind of thing? If all else fails, I'll just dish out some money for the Dervish. It looks like a really good overall board

Well, I don't know much about longboarding but heres what I think:
You can get more "bang for your buck" if you get a dervish. I can't tell you what board (because I don't know), but there are definitely better ones out there.

gmanuel-every maker makes different boards for different styles, you can't say "is gravity or NS better for carving/dancing" just doesn't work.
look at:
legendary longboards
longboard larry
etc.
****, if it's your first board try craigslist! you'd be surprised what you'd find
