Good luck!
All the advice I have for you on 180's is that use your hips/upper body as well as your legs. Also, I've noticed that setting up a proper carve going into a 180 makes your life a lot easier.

Obviously i need more speed to pull it 180, I just don't think I'm ready juuuuust yet for those big ones. I could probably explode my back leg a bit more to. I suck riding switch though..atleast sliding hahaha.

as you said more speed and a steeper hill will allow you to hold them longer.

I really don't know what my deal is either. I guess manuals are just my thing. They've always been really easy for me and just come naturally.

1) Wear a helmet
2) Go faster

Just keep practicing and you'll get it

i have a pair of trucks with a crooked king pin, you can see in the picture it is slightly bent to the left. the king pin is welded i believe, so i can't replace it. is there a way to bend it back?

take it to a local welding shop or farm and have them heat it up with an oxyacetylene torch to bend it

You could also just get another base plate. It might save you a lot of hassle and be more worth your time than driving somewhere to have it "fixed" and not quite be right anyways.

Baseplates are cheap. If you want to try to salvage that one, I would try to knock that kingpin out with a hammer and replace it with a standard one. Otherwise, most randal geometry hangars are compatible with other baseplates, you may just need to make a custom pivot cup because I believe charger1's have a weird pivot.

Yeah, my old helmet doesnt fit. PLUS i understand this is no excuse, and i should always wear one. But the hills/runs you can make around here without getting kicked out is probably 30secs-1min tops. Anyways...I'll be ordering one tomorrow along with the DK penguin.

So basically. Throwing fatty standies just involves me committing to the speed part? I'm doing them correctly?

Definitely. Last year it got to like 20-30F around here, but this year it didn't even fall under 40.... Kind of good, but weird at the same time.
