Our local snowboard hill finally opened with all these storms in the Northwest so I was patrolling all day yesterday. Nothing like taking the first sled down for the season on iced over mogals as a snowboarder...
haha ya the skier on the back of sled was having trouble too, so I just looked back when we were about 100 yards up from the flats, yelled "pulling brake" and bombed out of the mogals. Looks like it might be a few months now til I get to go longboarding again.
I didn't break anything. I'm a ski patroller but on a snowboard. by pulling brake, i meant pulled out the brake on the toboggan while transporting a patient. There is just a bunch of snow here now so I can't long board because of that.

Someone threw together this little vid with a pic slideshow and video clips from the finals heat. I'm in there quite a few times, wish I would have been closer to the front in the finals but those guys are fastttttttt and I tripped over myself a bit on the push

ya i see that green on silverfish got first. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him tucking where he didn't look like he was hauling balls. I wish that many people around here did downhill instead of only like 5 people in all of Boise.
Yeahhhh thats Max Capps. He's a pro rider for ladera/gunmetal/venom/vicious/a few others. Hes been skating for a while and is pretty darn fast, he wins alot of these races. Ben who got second is also very fast, same with Tim Del who got third and AJ who got 4th. Tim actually got 2nd at Maryhill this passed year and AJ won Bonelli and got 2nd at Soldiers of downhill a few months back. Soooo many good riders around here, its tough to keep up but it makes you so much better
do you guys know of any industrial Velcro that doesn't have adhesive on it. i need to make sliding gloves for a few friends and i am not messing with glue. i am going to sew them but its nearly impossible to sew with that adhesive on the needle
What kind are you using? Make sure you use something like shoe goo (strong yet not totally rigid), let it dry for 15-30 minutes, then put it under something to apply pressure and let it sit for a day. I've done this on all the gloves I've made and never had any issues.
