I'm probably the wrong person to ask...I've always said that it's a great board but for the price tag you can do better...I'm contemplating selling my demon if you'd be interested?
Legendary Demon, randal 180's, those are purple in heats (83a) but I've got a set of Oops 81a freerides on it now

so the gumminess/hardness of the wheels don't affect the sliding? because i want to slide, but my board keeps stopping and throwing me off. i at least need new wheels, but i'll probably end up getting a whole new board.

harrow: check out some clutch boards
paintball- the harder the duro/smaller the lip of the wheel...the easier it is to slide.

ok, thanks. what would you recommend? i go down some pretty straight hills, but i can't stop. i'd much rather slide and try to stop than bail. i also want speed, but it's not a huge deal.

That Legendary Demon has to be one of the sexiest boards I have ever seen. What's the flex like on it? My Sector9 Carbonite is surprisingly stiff so I think I'll set it up with GullWing Stalker trucks for bombing. Thinkin' about getting a Loaded Tan Tien with GullWing Sidewinder trucks for insane carving. Any recommendations on these? Can't find any detailed reviews for the Sidewinder trucks.

**** the tan tien. Its badly designed and doesn't feel good under the feet.
Check out the Rayne Vendetta if you want a similar board that actually rides well.
My current favorite deck is the Clutch Lambchop. Its siiiiick.

Nice I'll definitely keep that one in mind now. As for trucks though, anyone have an opinion on either the Gullwing Sidewinders or the Original S10's?
Oh, and gentimmy, I'd like some more info on yer board

sidewinders and originals are very gimmicky trucks.
They turn a lot, and are fun at lower speeds. Otherwise, they are just about useless.
Randals, Paris, Indy 215s, Ace 66, Tracker Darts are all good choices that carve very nicely with good bushings and are also great for faster stuff, like sliding and taking turns.

Hey, what's up everyone! Soooooo I'm a relatively new rider. I've had an Arbor for about 5 months or so. I was wondering if someone could just give me a quick overview, somewhat like a guide, to choosing wheels and trucks for freestyling, caving, cruising, etc.? I was watching a few videos, getting some information, and from what I understand bigger wheels with a low duro are good for what I need, correct?. Anyone have any specific brands they can recommend me? As for trucks, I'm assuming just stick to the 180mm Paris or Randals? Like I said, I'm relatively new to longboarding, but I'm liking it a lot! I would like to get into some dancing and possibly some slight drifting. Nothing too hardcore. Any suggestions would be very appreciated
