What is a good start age?

My daughter is turning 7 and we play at a park that has this as the minimal age. There is no special field and they are using HPA markers.

I have been shot by 50 cal and find it to me to be really nothing but my wife is skeptical of the 7 year old age limit.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Are they segregating .50cal play from .68cal play? This is the biggest thing to look for.

Otherwise, it's all a matter of what you, your wife, and most importantly your daughter think. If you haven't done it already, I would suggest the three of you go down and talk with the field owner about it. A few field owners I'd dealt with would offer to let you fill waivers and play a quick 1v1 to see if she is up for it.

It depends on how large the fields are (are the kids always within view?) and how much supervision is involved. The velocity the paintballs are shot at is also important.

Our fields are too large and our velocity is too high for 7 year olds in my opinion. Splatmasters on small fields...7 year olds should be fine as long a they are adequately supervised.

The field does segregate 50 from 68. Usually there is an adult on each team and 2 reffs on the field if there are enough. I really like the idea of a one on one with her to see what happens when she takes a round in an unpadded area. I believe that the field is using Tippmann's in 50 cal.

Saturday I will as what markers and what speeds they use.
Lol if my daughter had a say she would br out there now playing. She is just chomping at the bit to turn 7.

my teammates have kids on our team and they hate it, seen 2 girls come and go on our team. girls dont seem to have good field awareness, iv never seen a good girl play, i no there are, but it is rare. "prob seen 10-15 girls on a field"

i guess it might be diff tho if they play with people there age.

There is no expectation for her to play with adults. I would like a small splatmaster field for her but this area is lacking one that I know of.

I like the one on one idea as first time she gets hit and actually feels it I am right there and can handle the situation no matter how it turns out.

I can see it 7 years from now you're playing 68 with your daughter.
