1. Glad to see you went with the NDZ parts, they are superior to the stock parts by... a lot.

2. As far as triggers go, if you are not a fan of the stock I recommend a Violent trigger. By far the best aftermarket option.

3. The Luxe is pretty easy to keep up with, I never had to change any other orings besides the ones in the power core. But if you must know, get in touch with Darryl.

sigh, yeah it will urk me to no end. I hope he will help me with the sizes. I also will place a large order with him if he will take it, I want to put together a parts kits, with noid, eyes, detents and all.

Thanks very much for your post and your opinions are valuable to me! I appreciate the post!

Personal opinion at best.

The only part that NDZ has made better is the 2 piece can. It does make changing the orings easier. They are hit and miss though on performance. I believe the stock parts are they way to go. Shoot the gun alot, break in the orings, only change one if it is leaking and the gun will be smooth as butter. I have a shocker that probably has 50 cases on the same orings. Zero issues and is shoots so damn good.

Question though, isn't the fact that the NDZ can is open in the rear give it more volume for the shot?
That should make for a smoother shot, or so has been my experience with volume, such my comparison to DM9 and PM8, identical bolts, cans, tophat, but the breech volume.... DM is slightly larger and shoots ever so slightly smoother. Again just from my experience. I've read so many of your posts Ragin and have MAD respect, so please don't think I'm challenging you. I respect ya and appreciate your input.
Now if the QC (Quality Control) is bad from NDZ then I can totally understand. And I trust Chris (Pooty51) to do me right, and not give me a F'd up Polished NDZ PowerCore. So by the time I get it Wed or Thursday, I will have a case through the stock system to compare it to....
I love testing! and am excited to do so.

Thanks Ragin for the input! I love learning!

Just because you have a bigger volume of air, it doesnt mean your shot will be smoother. You will get less efficiency. The luxe has the manifold screw which can be adjusted to slow the bolt. Because you have less pressure inside of the can to fire the ball doesnt mean the bolt will move slower. I had my black luxe setup with an EFRod. I could shoot 9 pods off a 45-45 and had it tuned so well that there was little to no kick. It all comes down to tuning and playing with the manifold screw for smoothness.

As for the can, there is absolutely no reason to polish it. The bolt rides on the inner orings and never touches metal. Well fitting orings are the key.

Hmmm definitely food for thought....

You'll have to give me some instructions or more insight on the EF rod, I know the relative purpose of it, in that it occupies some volume space thus saving air.
But how do you tune with it? Do you trim it?
Or are you referring to dwell tuning?

Since I play scenario games, I am definitely interested in getting more pods!

You drop it in, set the dwell and tune the manifold screw to remove kick. So easy a caveman can do it. With the rods I sell now there is no trimming. The first rods were longer and made the gun much more picky. The length of the rods now give you decent efficiency and you have to tune less.

Luxes arent egos, there is no optimal settings. As long as you are dumping the entire volume of air every shot, the only tuning that needs to be done is with the manifold screw.

OK - now it's time to go searching for "Manifold Screw"

So I can learn about that.....

It seems that it slows the bolt down. Does it do it by choking/sealing off air?

I would skip the noid and detents in that parts kit. Eyes, body + bolt + noid oring kits should be fine. I always use oring monkey for the kits that I order.

GL and welcome to the LUXE family.

Thanks foreverpsycotic!

I just read where you use the rubber band bracelets around your eyes.... that's a very good idea, just to be on the safe side.
I'll get me a " Save the Ta Ta's" band.

muuhahahahahaaa

stock > ndz

There is more to fsdo than just smooth moving parts

My stock parts were a lot harder to move than my NDZ but my NDZ parts rarely worked correctly with a lot of FSDO. My stock parts gave me 0 fsdo not even 10fps drop which was amazing.

I prefer stock over anything.

EDIT- I remember leaving my gun in my car overnight in the dead of winter to test it out. Next morning the gun was so cold I couldnt even hold it but the first shot was 250 and the next was 285 (field limit). That was impressive for a spoolie on stock parts.
