I see you still have the Paul. The SG looks red in that pic.

Yeah, the brown photographs weird under incandescent lights (that and my photography skills are minimal at best). The LP is going on eBay soon.

I want to swap the tuners for some Grovers with metal buttons and install a Bigsby. I'll quit pic whoring now.

Grover locking tuners are the shiznit. I put a set on my partcaster and never looked back. All other tuners are obsolete imo. Pull the string tight through the tuner, turn the peg till you have tension, snip the string, tune and play. No more stretching strings or getting slack out of the wraps around the tuning post.

What kind of LP is that? And how much do you want for it? Any specific reason for selling?

It's a Korean (2006?) Epiphone LP Custom. I'm selling it because I don't really play it that much anymore (especially now that I've got the SG). I'm looking to get ~$450 for it.

<3 my Grovers, but lately my G string has been slipping constantly, I can't really tell what's going on. I lock the strings like always, no other string slips at all. Think I should switch two of the tuners and see if that's it, or could the problem be with my bridge or nut? My nut is a little extra worn from using 9s for years, either way I'm kinda stuck just avoiding the G string, every bend it slips and I don't think it's the tuner.

Edit: My intonation is perfect, no issues there. I don't really feel like paying someone to replace the nut, seems like there should be a relatively easy way to correct this without spending $100+

Double edit: Holy ****. Guitar Center wants you to buy the nut, $60 to cut it, more to install it, between $50 and $75 for basic setup, plus a set of strings. I also checked a local tech and he wants about the same, $60 for the nut + $75 for basic setup, + a pack of whatever strings you normally use. I'm going to try filing this myself a bit, it's gotta just be the string binding. I can't see spending $125+ when I can buy my own guitar in used condition for well under $300.

Wow that's ridiculous. At my store I think we'd charge someone about $40-$60 to replace a nut lmao and we do setups for $40 normally, $50 with a floyd.

you can get a precut Graphtech or Earvana (the one ESP uses) for not much.

I think a graphtech was sub $20 from them?

I'd swap the tuners and see it that works first.

When I had my ESP, I fell in love with the Gotoh Magnum locks. I think they're the 510 locking, or a variant of them.

Seriously considering a B-52 AT-100, but I'd still need a cab. There's one in my basement and I'm starting to fall in love, and they're cheap used ($350-$400). Just not sure if I want to buy a used tube amp, I don't know enough about them.

As long as all the tubes are working and you're not getting crackling, loss of signal, and similar issues you should be fine. Tube amps are usually beasts.

I'm wanting to start my first project soon, when money allows. Since I've never done this before, am I better off buying a full kit (looking at Carvins -- all pre-drilled and all hardware included) or restoring a cheap no-name beater? I have basic tool skills and I can paint well enough. I've heard good and bad about both options. What do you guys think?

find a beater and work on that to get your skills up more, then we you think you're ready you can do one of those kits from Carvin.

Or you can get exactly what you want from Warmoth.

Anyone know anything about the IbanezRG2020x? It's a prestige. I was offered a trade+cash for my Schecter Blackjack C-7/Ibanez RG7321. I've tried finding some info on it and it looks really nice but there's literally no current info on it.

One search into google,

Not a fan of the pickups, but it has a piezo in it which is awesome.
The Ibanez RG2020X is an RG series Prestige electric guitar model introduced in 2000. It has and a double locking tremolo with L.R. Baggs active piezo pickup saddles for an acoustic-like sound. The guitar has dual jack output; One for piezo output and the other for mixed output.
Other features include a mahogany body, Wizard neck and Ibanez made pickups.

In 2002, The RG2120X was introduced as a replacement for the RG2020X. Other similar models are the seven-string RG2027X and RG2127X.
