I want to see something just ridiculous. angled snake beams not vertical, dorito corners, make it crazy.
I might have to try and submit one.

NYPL layout. A was on the Snake side, like MAO. It was apart of the snake.

Ok, I made one tonight that I call "Aggression"
When making a layout, there's always personal bias. I hate break shooting and love aggressive moves. I favor the Russian Legion style of breaking to middle bunkers and filling out later.
Sooo, bunkers are close enough together to encourage fast, aggressive plays. Lanes are cut down.
Hope you guys enjoy, critiques are welcome. Remember, I put my time into this because I want a field that everyone would like. I have 1 other design so far. I've got my templates made so it should be easier to do this now.
Also, I realize not everything is PERFECTLY squared up. It's a real pain, it really is. The general idea is there. All bunkers were used

Looks good shawn, only thing I'm worried about, is there is no cross field shots like horizontally. That's just my outlook.
Looks like that took a while to make, good job!

You are correct sir. Those pins cut a lot of the field out. It's a boat-load of gun battles and aggression up each side. Almost like trench fighting on each side. You get to your spot and push hard.
It's harder to see from the aerial view but I'm thinking some cross shots would open up in person. Each pin IRL is 12.5 feet apart.
Who knows. My bias towards cutting out lanes thins down cross shots. I'll keep it in mind for the next one
I appreciate the input, exactly what I was looking for

One more thing, what was your theory for having the "home" bunker being a can, instead of the maya temple at about the 30 yard line on the D-side, or the snake side medium or small doritos? To encourage people to not go there? lol
Somebody gonna have to work, if they want those 20 wristbands from Shawn!

haha, yes. I hate back bunkers and laning. I figured, who wants to stand in a can? That's also why I have that stupid tall cake in snake corner. I hate those bunkers and they are odd and small. Perfect for the corner
It's not MUCH worse than the small dorito from WC. That thing got pinched from almost every bunker on both sides lol

Haha I figured. And you're correct, the small dorito was horrible!!!!!! Making the layout to your liking, is what this contest is all about.

haha yea, I should have specified I don't like RUNNING through lanes. I'm fast but also husky.
Ok, here is a field design with cross shooting in mind. No one gets to stay home, still, but you get some great options. The pins serve as blinders but can easily be laned over, you just have to lane the right spot.
The snake has great shots across the field (obviously giving doritos the same) but the can is placed similar to the tower on WC. If you have balls enough to play that can, you can seriously impede that snake player.
The touching doritos, just because I love gunfighting. Also I recently ran out of my bunker, saw a shadow in front of it, and ended up trading with someone at my very same bunker. It was a thrill. Having them so close makes it interesting.
The brick is fairly safe to make but I left a huge gap to get to snake. That center dorito can lock down a mean lane if he chooses but I did kink it up a little with the aztec
Anyways, just another fun run. To me, the most fun part is having those pins in the center. They are far enough apart to get a general idea of what's going on but you also have to ALWAYS remember that someone can blind shot over them. So you have to fear even those you can't see.
Feedback is always great.
EDIT: I also DO realize the pins are not centered. I wanted doritos and snake to fight more. The A is pushed inside the snake a little and will play as a knuckle
