Luxe leak. Strange

Hey guys I could really use some help.

So first my setup:

Dwell 12ms
Fsd. 7ms
Manifold. 1 turn from flush(in)
Ft in
Stock bolt, guide and can
I have used sl33k, eclipse lube and hater marmalade.

Now the problem:

I got my luxe 3 weeks ago and I love it (when it doesn't leak). So when I got it in my hands I stripped down the bolt and reg lubed and put new orings. Absolute perfection. It shots like a dream... Then all of a sudden half a case and it begins to sputter. Quick inspection and I find air leaking from the bolt. I relube the front oring on the bolt guide and air it up. No leak. Another half case and the leak start again. WTF!?!?

Sooo I started trying different lubes. Hater seems to last the longest. I am using good quality orings. I went to an oring company and had them all sized properly. There is some breech wear from the bolt(previous owner, not sure how that would have happened ). A couple of guys I know have luxes as well. Had no idea there bolts were leaking until I pointed it out. It's a small leak but it causes my gun to have fsd. Thanks guys any and all help will b appreciated.

Thanks. I've gone over that thread. Does ur marker leak threw the bolt at all.it's not even a big leak. It seems that after I fire it alot the lube is blown threw the breech losing the seal.

There is only 2 orings that would cause a bolt leak. It's either the oring on the tip of the bolt guide or the Oring on the inside of the can. If you have breech wear check the wear on your bolt. If it's excessive it can cause leaks.

Just because they look good doesn't mean they are. Swap em out and see what happens.

So today I replaced the sail ring guide rings and inner can rings (all three fml). Aired it up... No leak. Dumped 2 hoppers full on a tree and back to square one. Small leak from the bolt.

honestly, i chipped my bolt can trying to get the inner can orings out with a pick. it's a tiny tiny leak but after prolonged period of being aired up and not shooting the gun it will have a noticeably weaker first shot.

just me personally

i think i had the same problem as you (i'd play a point then the next it would sputter and leak from the bolt and quick latch). i found out that it was my luxe being over pressured, thus causing o-ring damage etc. ("Most likely is the reg creeping, either due to the 15/90 on the top of the regulator or the seat on the piston." this is straight from the stickies out of the trouble shooting [my advice read them over and over they'll save you!]) I'd would then change the o-rings thinking it was just those but after 2 cycles of that, i knew it was something else. So then studied the way a luxe's air system worked

my theory is that its better to have a higher dwell, letting you have lower pressure in your reg so over pressurizing wont happen. i turned my dwell back to 13 from 10, i set my reg so that no air was let in the gun the i opened it 2 full 360* turns then i shot it over a chrono and fine tuned it from there.

my advice is to try to make a majority of your orings urethane, hater lube of any kind whether it be sauce or marm seems to be to think and will cause the bolt to stick, keep to using dow33 or monkey poo lube. lube the back oring of the bolt guide and the back part of your bolt. then do what i did.

(if you have to open the reg more than 5 full turns from closed so your bolt can fully cycle i suggest degassing your gun and upping the dwell one more milli second and repeat until the bolt fully cycles under 3 full turns from closed. once this is achieved you can fine tune it)
if this doesnt work im sorry for letting your read the entire thing
