DP G4 problems again

Hey guys so I took DP advice and i moved my raps so the main bleed holes are not covered by the screws. This required me to move the raps system towards the regulator.

But now i have leaking in my barrel which i didnt have before. And worst off when i screw in my tank i cant close the RAPS level. Its to difficult to close it so i am afraid of breaking it.

Also my ninja 48/3000 tank has been chipped at the top of the thread maybe by about 0.5mm. Is the chip the main problem here? Or is it because i moved the RAPS too far?

Did you try relubing your bolt? Lightly. Also, if your raps isn't shutting properly unless you use alot of force then maybe an oring is pinched.

What kind of problems are people having with DP 40. Because i have a little leakage from my barrel is it cause of the lube or the orings or both??

could be the lube, the orings, or both. It really depends. The spec r and g4 have shown that the orings last a longgg time so i would say its the lube. Try relubing the marker with something else (dow33, sleek, dye lube, monkey poo, lurker lube)

I guess ill switch to another lube or grease for the G4. I cant believe that DP sells lube that creates so many problems for their customers. I swear this company is retarded, especially when my local paintball shop charged by 19 bucks for the DP 40 lube. Why doesn't DP scout out forums or get customer feedback on their products? This will be my last DP purchase, i should have just bought a 98 custom it would probably have less problems.

I took everyones advice and i will try techT gun sav, and 5 rebuilds for my raps system. I guess even though DP promised to ship me the orings for free people say it takes a lifetime to receive them.

I really hope techt gun sav will make my G4 work properly.

I appreciate everyones help!

Another thing, did you read the sticky at the top about the G4 "out of the box" problems? It helps a lot, and Joe (firefoxx04) put a lot of hard work in to it.

If you need some o-ring I can send you out some for your RAPS. Just let me know.

As far as the bleed holes are concerned what I do personally is take the marker apart. Seperate the frame from the body and take the board out. Then remove the set screws that hold the RAPS in place. Take them all the way out. Then hold up the frame in good light and look down into it from the top, kinda where the solenoid sits. From that vantage point you should be able to see the vent hole on the RAPS. Simply move the RAPS forward or backward enough so that you can no longer see the vent hole through the set screw holes. Then put the set screws back in, tighten them down, and finally put everything back together. Should be good to go now.

Thanks rottensquad. I will let you know next time about the o-rings, i just bought a pack of 5. I hope o ring monkey does a better job at delivering the lube and the orings then DP.

Newb question how do i remove the plugs from the solenoid of off the board? I have no idea how to do it..

Carefully haha. But if you cant get it out with your fingers, try some needle nose pliers. Just be careful that you don't rip the actual connector off the board, and make sure there is no battery in the gun, turn it on just to make sure there is no power going through it at all.

Also, Oringmonkey ships USPS priority I believe, so it shouldn't take more than a week for it to get to you. Let us know how things turn out!
