Viking Needs a Tune-Up
Hello,
Haven't been on here for a long time. Actually, haven't played in years too...but now a new field opened up near my house in Chula Vista, CA and I want to use my '04 FSP'd Viking. Never played much with it since I got it when it came out. Aired it up a few days ago and heard a leak.
Needs a tune up. Haven't ran oil through it in years, so there must be dry broken o-rings in there.
I emailed DC and haven't gotten a response. I read he's busy with a baby and all. So, I'm looking for someone reliable to hook me up with a tune up. Is there such a company or certified person who can do this? Thanks.

DC is your only hope for a "certified" tech working on it. AKA de-certified all the techs except Jared and his guys. Last I heard even AKA wasn't working on guns as they had no one there to do it. If you really need it gone though best bet is to wait on Jared.
Have you tried changing the battery and airing it up? You'd be surprised at how well they store.

Gene at gorilla paintball in california was certified for a while, but I don't know if he still is working on guns or even in business anymore.
Put in 5-10 drops of Extreme lube, and change the battery, and there's a good chance that it will seal right up.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll wait for Jared. Dan, you aren't working on them anymore?

I sent my '04 to Jared @ DC on 11/04 for a tune up and I got it back today! Awesome service! I can't wait to air it up and shoot off a few rounds. If your Viking/Excal needs some work, don't hesitate to send it to Destructive Customs.

Gene isnt working for them. I called them up the guy said he would give gene my number (this was when jared was either putting on the room in his house, or doing some other busy non paintball stuff (before the evil M lprs and stuff). Gene never got back to me.
Honestly theres prolly some people here or on mcarterbrown in your area that can help you out. aka guns are pretty easy to work on.
also try putting like 7 drops of oil in it. and shooting it for like 150 times. then degass it and regass it.
