Dye Dm5 Top Hat O Ring

Hey everyone! I have a dm5 which has been leaking down the barrel. I have fixed the problem with exchanging out the proper o rings, but now the inside top hat o ring is starting to come off and slip down the actual bolt. This ultimately causes a leak down the barrel, and I break the gun down and find the top hat o ring just resting on the bolt after taking off the back cap. Does this mean I am not using enough lube, or am I using a wrong o ring? Any help would be appreciated.

Btw - the gun is completely sealed before all of this happens. I can fire it about 30 times and then the o ring pops off and leak down barrel.

I would go ahead and just replace that oring in the top hat. I'm assuming you are talking about the larger size oring? the 017? Seems like you have the wrong size in there right now...

I think the smaller one is an 013 oring. Check it and make sure its the right size and has lube on it. Just a dap of dow33 should work. Also check your settings on your gun and make sure they are at stock settings.

Yeah I have always cleaned and relubed after playing. I bought this new part kit and its the only o ring that would even possibly fit ( the kit was unlabeled with sizes).

I agree sir. How many different O rings look like that particular one we are speaking of? Inside the Top hat, the o ring is a bit loose.

So the o ring shouldn't break away from the inside of the wall? I can basically move the o ring around with ease.

It looks like I have found a bit larger O ring that snapped right into place. Aired up the sexy dm5, no leaks. I guess I will see how it runs for a whole day tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
