It's so cheap and lazy. I feel you should let them play, learn from their experience, and once they are off the field, explain what they did wrong and how to fix it. To me, that is coaching.

Thanks man, I just couldn't believe it when I got back into playing it this summer. I hadn't played since middle of 2003, and the sport was booming then. I had played for 7 years prior to that and it's just not the same anymore. A lot has changed, some good and some bad. I remember when I busted out the old Blackmagic cocker this past May for the first time in 7 years. Everyone couldn't believe someone still had a blackmagic. It's my backup now, I have an Ego 9 now, but still. The sport has changed so much.

Dont like it? Don't listen or don't get beat by "Coaching".
I do belief however, if you aren't planning on play GIP's events, you shouldn't be making a comment on whether or not you want sideline coaching.

What difference does it make if I make a comment on sideline coaching or not? Not going to effect me at all.

Get over it. The coach is instructing the player what to do. If you think the other team coaching is making you lose, get a coach too. Griping on PBNation won't get it to go away, sir.

He asked our opinion, I'm giving it. It's not griping, this was the point of the thread. I know it won't change, read the thread title.

Coaching is for ppl that need help on the field. Its to easy to play when you have someone coaching you. Now with NPPL its all skill in that league. No coach, no PSP mode, best 2 out of 3 games and No coaching! All semi its more of a chess game in NPPL. Don't get me wrong PSP is fun, but all it is shoot a lot of paint and run down the field, that's it. Sorry if I offended anyone, its just my point of view

Coaching at a practice and at an event are completely different. There isn't crowd noise to fight with during practice. If you are going to practice with a coach telling you step by step what to do, i.e. "Wrap and shoot at D1, then bump, then do this, then do that", you're seriously gonna get burned at an event.
Try playing while a crowd is all trying to coach AND counter coach. See if you can make out what they are saying. A good coach will just call out positions b/c that's all a player is going to be able to hear. A good player will then use that information to do some serious damage.

It ain't just "shoot a lot of paint and run down the field". Try doing that if you have to rally back down 3-0. Or if you have a major and a minor (I'm looking at you Arnold). LOL.
