Ok i knew this thread would come about so let me inject some sense into anyone thinking that they will get anything valuable from a trade.
You wont.
There is one piece for every set that is the rare one. The rest are insanely common. Therefore, anyone with the one rare piece is insanely lucky, and would be retarded to trade it off cause they could get the other pieces in that set EXTREMELY easily.
Ever notice that you always get a **** ton of "Park Place" every year but never get boardwalk? thats because boardwalk is the rare piece. There are only ever 3 boardwalks given out each year. They probably make Park Place one of the easiest to get so that people are like "Oh holy **** i'm halfway to 1 million dollars! I better buy mcdonalds every day so i can get boardwalk!"
Statistically, you're 3 times more likely to win your state lottery than get boardwalk from playing the mcdonalds game. (And you'll be alot less fat)
Same goes for the other properties. Here's a chart showing the rare pieces that you will never see.
Those were the rare pieces from 2009
The 2010 ones are here:
* Mediterranean Avenue ($50 prize, 5000 prizes)
* Vermont Avenue ($100 prize, 1500 prizes)
* Virginia Avenue ($200 SpaWish® Gift Certificate, 250 prizes)
* Tennessee Avenue ($1,000 prize, 250 prizes)
* Kentucky Avenue (Beaches Resorts – The Luxury Included® 4 Day/3
Night Family Vacation for two adults & two children 15 years or under,122 prizes)
* Short Line Railroad (EA SPORTS Trip, 8 prizes)
* Ventnor Avenue ($25,000 prize, 5 prizes)
* Pennsylvania Avenue ($50,000 prize, 4 prizes)
* Boardwalk ($1 million dollar prize, 2 prizes)
Not sure if those quantities of winners for this year are valid or not, just found it on some random site, but you get the idea.
Now, this kind of makes the game pretty pointless to play right? Thats what i figured, but if you're going to eat fast food anyway and dont mind mcdonalds, theres no reason not to go there over somewhere else and at least get a
Chance to win something. You will still be very likely to win a free breakfast sandwich (just got one off my first piece last night) or some other food item. And the online contest thing is going to produce alot of winners with walmart giftcards and random small **** like that.
So no, playing the game is not a complete waste, you can still win the small things and have a
chance at the big things, but dont get your hopes up, and definitely dont count on some retard with boardwalk trading it to you for a common railroad that they dont have yet or some ****.
