No, he's not. It has what he needs.

I didn't say it was better, I said I prefer it.

His car has 450ish awhp on 93. He prefers that over an RS4.

Mine will be 275awhp (with my new turbo, injectors, fuel pump, ic, etc). Should be happening later this week. Sucks I have to tone everything down to pass smog.

i think its mainly bc ppl hear other ppl say the "the boxer motor is...." and then they just believe it and use that same phrase..

i personally dont know anything about subaru's motor or an audi motor that would make it "beter" or worse then the other. you can throw 10k$ at both and have super hp motors.. so rele which is beter.

both cars will handle great, both awd, both have low hp numbers. but audi has the interior.. i believe as well that he audi will get 30+ on the highway, and the city is better or same as wrx. so maybe another point to the audi.

Like I said, if he just wants to drive the car I'd say the Audi is a great choice.

I think the wrx has a ton of aftermarket parts available, so it may be better for building. However, I haven't researched the A3 like I have with my wrx.

Long argument short, both are nice cars.

Because I know how to work on it. I like the reliability, the strength, and how easy it is to work on

I NEVER said all other, I said equivalent. I'm referring to other 4 cylinder motors.

Please read the entire post before you instigate.

it probably is better for building than the audi engine, but a lot of engines are good for building. What about it being a boxer engine makes you love it so much?

A3 has much nicer body and interior.

WRX has nicer AWD and will be faster.

I agree completely, there are engines that are great (if not better) for building.

I just love Subaru. I love the flat 4. It's a solid motor. It's a well balanced motor (pistons act as counter weights for eachother). It's got pretty good torque at low rpms. The motor is mounted low over the front axel which also lowers the overall center of gravity which helps with handling.

Least importantly, I love the sound

Again, my love for the boxer is my opinion. I'm not saying it's the best, I'm saying it's my favorite.

I dunno. How come?

I said it's what I like. The word "best" was never used in my statements. I think the evo is a damn good track car, and sexy looking too! It just wasn't for me though.

Not really true . Evos may be alittle better stock vs stock in a curvy race , but the sti whoops them In a straight line and doesn't have as ****ty of an interior .

And in the snow they are pretty even and most of the time the magazines never use the right settings for the sti . Like they do the Ones for the most control and complain that they can't get the back end to spin out in the turns as easys as an Evo
