Any advice on vice bolts

Is there an overwhelming consensus on which bolt is the best for the vice, the pillow bolt or the violent series? I need to either replace my pillow bolt, or get a different design. I am interested in the violent series, and have not seen any threads on it.

the pillow is broken off. I know there are replacement pillows available, but I am interested to see if that is the right direction to go.

i absolutly love the violent bolts. the pillow bolts work great as well as the VP bolts. you dont really see a difference in either bolt. But i have never had a problem with either bolt

Thanks, the pillow will cost me $10, the violent bolt $40. Is it worth the extra $30 for the violent series bolt? Do either have a significant difference in ball breakage?

The real question is, is it worth it to you to spend $30 more dollars on something you all ready have and that is no better or worse compared to the other...

That $30 could so into a better case of paint, or buy yourself another weekends worth of field fee's..

I'm with gamer. You're not going to notice a difference, they're both good products so why spend $30 more on an equivalent item?

If you're dead set on getting a different bolt you might consider one designed by juit, I've heard good things about them.

I have both bolts. The violent, while a great bolt, is a little less efficient. I bought the VP as a backup. I had the pillow blow out of my stock bolt and that caused problems with roll back. The violent is NOT an upgrade.
