CP Gauge Port Reg...Gauge plugs won't go in!

This is now the second CP Gauge port reg I have bought, and neither of them will allow for the provided screws to screw in flush...anyone else have this problem...and/or know how to fix it?

I've never had those screws sit flush honestly, even on used ones I've gotten. You would have to find the same sized grub screw with a shorter length over all to get it flush.

Oh well...I have owned about 6 in the past...all were fine...its just the 2 latest that I have had in the past year. The other 4 were back in 2005 and 2006.

Couldn't tell you then. Maybe they changed the port depth at some point. Honestly don't know.

Use loctite instead of teflon tape..this will net you another quarter-half turn, which may just be enough.

By nature of the pipe thread system..its hard to get everything to line up perfectly every time when tapping.

I've just accepted the fact that grub screws won't sit flush. I've had em on regs, asas, my ion's frame (don't use the gauge), and they all stick out a little. But i use teflon tape exclusively.
