yeah, i find this a bad idea. Wider fields means teams shooting more paint/longer games. Making the field for "bigger" players? what are they gunna put rollers in every layout? Does soccer, baseball or any other sport adjust the field to make sure everyone can play on a high level Hmm silly in my opinion

not wider just longer ! not sure if it will bring more players back into the game or not as there ranking system is keeping so many players out of the game as it is. i do like the new field length as it will make for better games and as for shooting more paint i don't c that happening as much as u might think.
i also like the layout being held secret (if it really will be from the top teams) until the event !

bigger fields, smaller fields, 10 bps, 15 bps, coaching, no coaching, if you hate or want to stop playing paintball because of little changes like these then i have to question whether you ever really loved this sport anyways. IT'S PAINTBALL PEOPLE, show up and do your best while having the most fun you can. The only people that should be *****ing about these changes are field owners as this will cost them time and money to keep up with the physical changes that PSP are making.

Yeah if they actually change the layouts to be both good for more sizes of players as WELL as keep them exciting to watch that's a great thing.

I'm just not sure a longer field will help that. Layouts can help that, but we'll see if they pull that off.

I appreciate that they're trying to increase attendance, we'll see if it works.

i really could care less either way.

i do like that the field will be a suprise though. the teams with the best communication and that mesh the best will have an upper hand.

its time for michigan teams to put their lines together and keep them together to build cohesion (sp?) so they gel together in a winning fashion.

you wont have to worry about practicing on a longer field since they are not releasing the layouts. So changing a field size is a mute point, only for laning practice. And at the indoor being 166 ft long net to net is close enough to facilitate that.
