guys its an ego its going to be a great marker. jack knows what he is doing when it comes to making markers. you can find something that you do not like about and marker if you want to. right?

Absolutely. Odd year is the new generation, the even year is the revamp of that one, often improving on issues with the previous one like the 2 QEV's in the ego 7 to one QEV in the 8.

That thinking is completely off. There are other companies out there that don't do a yearly release, and the markers are NOT selling for $1000 used. The MacdevRX comes to mind. Or the Droid.

Not sure if it's intentional or if major changes like that just take longer to make due to R&D and testing and such.

Now children... everyone is allowed to have an opinion, these threads always turn into what this one is turning into... so don't get too riled up about it.

People don't understand every year gun releases but it makes a lot of sense, even its its just minor updates. Lets say theoretically that they planned on only releasing guns every other year. They would still be selling guns during the year that they are not releasing new guns, so if they have been doing R&D during that period, why not implement the new ideas into a new release gun as opposed to having every other year releases and having ideas that are just sitting on the shelf for a year.

Look at auto manufacturers, they'll release the same car year after year, in between larger remakes of that model. Only minor details change from one year to the next, but its still a newer car and people would prefer it over the virtually identical used model from the year before. AND people don't ***** about the fact that this years car is the same as last years...

the way a car is manufactured is way more complicated than a paintball marker. The reason cars are released as multi year type deals like you're talking about, is because the tools used to form/stamp the sheetmetal parts are crazy expensive.

yeah, I mean, look at how many guns they sell. Obviously, it works for them. Some people dislike it, but hell, the ones that like it (and are giving them money) are the ones that count

It only comes to mind because that's what I was about to do. Not that I'm trying to make a statement about Ego's, if I were looking to buy a PE gun I like the Geo2. But this site has over 529,000 members, imagine if we all thought our

statements were important...

People need to understand the word "revolutionary" before they go running to use it in an attempt to bash a brand. Clearly people don't have this understanding.

When markers went from mechanical to electro....that was revolutionary.
When it went from pump to semi-auto...that was revolutionary.
When "eyes" were introduced....that was revolutionary.
50 caliber, thought I be against it,....that would be revolutionary (if the performance was on par)

Revolutionary actually changes the game.

Macroline to Macroless...not revolutionary
Reducing kick...not revolutionary
Noise reduction...not revolutionary

I'm glad someone other than me realizes this. Same with DM's and whatever other markers are released every year. They continue to sell so why not release them annually.
