slamming doors

hate it when people slam the door after I was just nice enough to give them a ride.

Im sure they are meant to with stand some pressure of being slammed, but is it possible to do some damage? I dont know, I just hate it. and it doesn't usually sound good

discuss

My doors are super heavy and german, I know exactly what you're talking about.

They aren't honda doors, they weigh about as much as a small kid and have almost no drag from kickass hinges.

I highly doubt it will do damage unless your door is improperly aligned, then maybe it is possible.

My doors are really heavy too in the Cadillac. They'll pretty much shut themselves and when people slam them it can rock the car a little.

Most of the time it's not on purpose when it happens... They get use to their car doors, and if yours are easier to shut, they are gonna slam. Shutting a car door isn't something you usually think about. You just do it. So it happens. Maybe you should remind them to shut it easy before they get out. Ever think about that? It's pretty simple..."Hey man, when you shut the car door be easy with it. They're pretty easy to slam."

Problem solved.

I'm sure they don't think they're gonna slam the door either. Like I said they don't think about it either. They just shut it like they would their car, and if their door is harder to shut, needs more of a push, or your doors are longer, it's going to slam. Don't be mad about it, it just happens. If you're worried about it, maybe you should politely ask them to shut it easily.

if its a ford then no damage unless they try to slam it with c4, dynamite, or m80's. if its a chevy, nissan, dodge, GM, mitsubishi, BMW, towota, or honda then yeah there could be some damage, remember ford First On Race Day and dodge Destroyed Over Driven Geared Engineering

so many LOLs had here. What an idiot.

But yes, I never noticed it with my old car but now with my new car I do. I don't know if it's that I care about my new car a lot more or if it has something to do with the fact that the doors are indeed significantly heavier.
