Two Luxe Questions

1. Is it just super glue that holds on the black foam pieces inside the eye covers?

2. I have a NDZ bolt with a Pooty spring mod, and a stock can with a buna o-ring for the 3rd o-ring from the front of the can. Regardless of FSDO settings my Luxe gets mad bolt stick after it sits aired up for a long period of time. Is there any o-rings on the bolt guide that could contribute to this? I only use Monkey Poo and a small amount of it. Dwell is at 10ms. Also, I notice that in my house at 72 degrees it can sit aired up for hours and not have bolt stick but out in the humid 95 degree summers here in FL it does get bolt stick...thoughts?

What's your manifold set at? Mine is at 1.5 turns in, any more and I will get bolt stick in the initial shot.

Your bolt's sail oring might be contributing also, is your FT screw in or out?

FT is out, manifold screw is at 3 turns in which is where it is staying because it shoots so nice with it in that far. Is that a bolt stick contributor? Any bolt guide o-rings to look at?

Bolt guide shouldn't contribute to fsdo. Check the bolt sail Oring. The heat could be causing the lube to get stickier and promoting the fsdo. Try relubing only making the orings look wet. You may also try replacing the outer can Oring that corresponds with the inner third. If either leak it will cause fsdo.

I defiantly think the heat is a factor. I will look at those other two o-rings and go very lightly on the lube.

Yeah but heat also makes things expand which could be happening to the o-rings

And Darryl answered my first question, it is just super glue.

Swapped out the outer o-ring and replaced the front inner o-ring with one that seemed a slighly better fit. I also upped my FSDO to 20ms and ordered some buna bolt sail o-rings from o-ring monkey so I can try some of those out. Hopefully that combination and lighter Monkey Poo will do the trick. If not, I will just have to accept that the tolerances in my can are too tight and deal with it

If that doesn't work would you consider getting the polished NDZ can from Pooty?

Polishing the can does nothing. Pooty doesn't change the inner diameter of the Oring grooves. Polishing the bolt helps with fsdo but if there are orings in the can which may be out of tolerance it's gonna be tight until you change them.

check the 17/70 oring inside the lift cap, make sure its in good shape and lubed. this oring will cause bolt stick which is sometimes confused with FSDO. Usually if the gun shots fine after the marker cycles, its usually the cuprit. recommend using urethane or HN orings on it as well.
hope this helps

I will check that o-ring. I'm not getting my bolt polished though. It doesn't seem worth it to me and I don't want to become a statistic and have problems with it like so many have had in this forum. From what I have read it works for some and causes more problems for others.

Polishing the bolt doesn't cause problems. Putting the wrong orings un will cause problems . Get Ur bolt sprung and polished.

It is sprung already. I've read numerous threads on here about polished bolts leaking or not shooting at all because of the grease/oil mixture or people not being able to find just the perfect fit o-rings and I don't want to mess with any of that. The NDZ bolt I have already has a better coating than the stock Luxe bolt so that should be sufficient if I can get some better fitting o-rings.

Oddly you shouldnt have a terrible problem with FSDO bc you have a bolt with a smaller OD

My view, dont bother with the NDZ bolt, its a waste of money
And oring fitment is crucial with the luxe unofrtunatly

But once you have it, you never replace orings.
I have the same 3rd inner can oring from over 100 cases ago

It isn't terrible bolt stick...just after it sits for a while outside aired up for some reason. Already bought the NDZ bolt months ago and I like it a lot.

I said this months back that replacement bolt parts were not needed and would cause more trouble than what they were worth. Keep your stock parts and shoot your gun. Orings should last hundreds of cases.
