Clone Gladiator reg leak

Shot my Clone for the first time today and after 3-4 games a small consistent leak appeared from out of the adjuster screw at the bottom of the Gladiator reg, stripped and cleaned the reg but it started to leak not long after the next game.

Just wanting to know which o-rings to replace as i don't want to replace more o-rings than really necessary.

We ran into this with one of our Clones.

Turns out is was the adjuster oring. Check out the exploded parts diagram for the Gladiator.
Easy fix for us.

AS curly said it could be the seat as well, so inspect those two carefully.

I flipped the reg seat seal and changed the 008 adjuster o-ring and it stopped leaking but i tried it a second time a few days later and it started to leak after shooting it a few times after it was sat aired up for 20 minutes.

I never liked or had any luck with those red seat seals even in my Droid days

Don't want to high-jack but I have a similar issue. My Clone leaks from the bottom of the reg with an HP tank installed. When I put a LP tank it doesn't. Leak comes from inside the adjuster. My best guess is a new seat, where can I order a seat from in the US?

It is most likely not the seat itself. There is a 6x1 mm oring that seals the seat inside the adjuster screw (not in the exploded view), or the 008 oring that seals the adjuster to the bottom of the reg. Either of these can let air out the adjuster screw area in the bottom of the reg if they have debris on them or are cut.

The air actually leaks from inside the adjuster- ie it pushes on the allen key. The only way I can see that happening is that is it leaking around the seat and not what is holding it.

I actually just took out the adjuster to double check and when I put it on my tester to adjust the pressure it leaked a little then went away?? After I put it on the gun it doesn't leak now?? I did nothing different.

Are you saying there is an interior o-ring in the seat holder?
I thought it was the seat itself that made the seal.

Edit: Took out the seat and looked down in there and yes I see it, albeit tiny as hell! A little dow 55 seems to have done the trick-didn't have any 6 x 1s laying around.

Thank you very much for pointing that out.-

Be sure to look at booth orings.

Sorry to bother the thread, but how do you replace the 6x1 mm oring that seals the seat inside the adjuster screw?

It is customary with metric o-rings to list the ID then thickness. O-rings in any size imaginable, including 6x1mm, are available from Macaster-Carr. However, O-ring monkey does not list them, and they are not included in thier Clone o-ring kit either.

Removing this inside o-ring should be done as a last resort. It can be done with an o-ring pick, but this will most likely destroy it. The more likely culprit is the larger one on the outside of the adjuster, because it is exposed and is far more likely to get cut or nicked. If either one of these are damaged or if the red seat is grooved on the outside, it will result in a leak down the inside of the adjuster screw.

If you go on oringmonkey.com and order the macdev oring rebuild they don't come with the 6x1 so u just have to email them and they send them free of charge. I got my 6x1's and that was my problem. Doesn't leak anymore.

My Clone had the same problem ans was able to fix it by changing the o-ring inside the adjuster. The 6 x 1 o-ring has to be sourced out separately. I found mine at a local store that specializes in pneumatic parts and seals.
