Post 2010 NFL SEason & Early Superbowl predictions

Who do people see as the favorites and perhaps eventual winners of the Superbowl at season's end?

AFC East - Everyone here has a chance to make the playoffs (Buffalo might go 8-8, which as a record has gotten teams in before) and 3 of 4 can win the division. Jets are probably the favorites here with Revis signing now, but Miami could surprise if the Jets falter. Patriots will score points, but I don't know if they can stop anybody anymore.

AFC North - Baltimore's division to lose. They are probably making the last Superbowl push they'll make with Reed and Lewis on D, so I expect a sense of desperation and intensity from the whole team all year. Offense acquired Boldin and Houshmenzadeh (sp?) to compliment Mason, so if Flacco can't succeed with them and Rice in the backfield, he can't succeed in the NFL. If the Steelers can be 2-2 at end of 4 weeks, they can make the playoffs with Ben returning week 5. Bengals are a big mystery. Cleveland still sucks.

AFC South - Colts were 0-4 in preseason, but they should still reclaim the division. Texans have the chance to challenge them since they play the Colts well, and Vince with Johnson for a whole season could win 10 games. Texans may challenge a wild card this year. Jacksonville owns the basement.

AFC West. Chargers and Broncos will battle to win the division. Oakland and Kansas City will battle to not be the worst in the division. That's the vibe going into the season at least. I think Oakland could win 7-8 games. In fact, I won't be surprised if Oakland finished ahead of Denver this year. Denver lost a lot of their best piece from last year.

NFC East - Most enjoyable division in the NFL - every team hates every other team. Giants and Cowboys are early season favorites, but Redskins with a QB finally to compliment a solid D, may win a wild card. I think Philly is in rebuilding mode now. I think the Giants will take division, and the Redskins may surprise with 2nd place. Dallas has been talked about for the SB for a few years now and it hasn't happened. I know they're considered the favorites, but I don't see it at all.

NFC North - This might be the most interesting division. Vikings are still a Superbowl possibility, but the Packers have a legitimate shot as well. With all the focus on those two, the Bears quietly acquired Julius Peppers and have Urlacher and Matt Forte returning from injuries. Combine that with a looking to redeem himself Jay Cutler, and the Bears, as retarded as this sounds, could win the division. I know a lot of people are high on Minnesota, but they're injury plagued right now, and have a tough schedule. Even if people disagree about Chicago - do you think they're at least better and could win a Wild Card? Detroit is still a few years away from anything, but they'll improve.

NFC South - Saints win. Atlanta will go backwards this year, Panthers aren't good and Tampa Bay might go winless this year.

NFC West - San Fransisco will win this division simply cause everyone else completely sucks. However - they have a pretty good defense and they're actually a team that could make noise in the playoffs. Dark Horse NFC Championship team if Alex Smith can be reasonably competent and they stay healthy. Cards are all done, Seahawks are horrible, and the Rams will improve, but not a lot.

For the Superbowl - I'm rooting for a Ravens vs Vikings SB

Oakland will finish 2nd in afc west, possibly win it depending on how the chargers do.

Donkey fans are so lol thinking they'll finish 2nd in division

Denver lost a few pieces this year, and I think they're basing their finish on Knownshon Moreno having a breakout year. A lot of Denver fans seem to think they have this division wrapped up. They have Tim Tebow, so that's worth like 4 wins I guess. (should see their message boards - lol) San Diego has issues on their OL, and Rivers isn't a real mobile QB. I'd say their favored, but Oakland has a QB with a huge chip on his shoulder and a team who thinks they can amount to something.

What I want to know is why is San Fran on that list and not like The Jets or someone?

Sorry, what? The Bengals return almost the entire team from last year, and the additions they made on offense only make them stronger. It's a toss up between the Bengals and Ravens in the division this year, one will win the division and the other will be the wild card.

I'd have to say the Ravens are favored. The Bengals are a Dark Horse to me - I can see them winning anywhere between 5 and 12 games. Palmer has two good receivers, but who's to say TO will not "get old' this year. Who's to say Palmer will have a monster rebound year. Lot of question marks with the Bengals as far as I'm concerned. I think they can make the playoffs, but I like the Ravens more to win the division.
