? I don't get what you mean. You might be on to something, but I wouldn't know what it looks like. Perhaps a sketch?

Edit: Pote made a combined Sled/Bolt 4 years ago. http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...4#post31658274

And more Progress!!

With better ASA And finished Front Block. Crappy Grips because I need to learn that.
Gotta start learning to make the whole marker than just internals.
I have way too many designs that are just internals.

Quick Question:
3 way barbs for a cocker are M3 for 4mm Tube right? Or is it 1/8" Tube?
I have some of a Cocker, but not the 3 way.

Hmm, That seems too big no? 10-32 barbs would seem massive. But I don't have a 3way so...

Very near completion. Just need The LPR, feedneck and internals. Estimated Complete weight: 600g

Ok, so it is 8-32 barbs... M3 barbs still work fine though right?

You can buy M3 threaded barbs that are over drilled @ Airsoldier. I think the over drilled ones will work or maybe substitute for over drilled 3/32 barbs.

*edit* Try these:

I don't like it. Normally I like unconventional markers but it'd have to be something pretty special to retain my interest.

I am not a fan of MILSIM, but I'd go with full out MILSIM over faux MILSIM any day.

I'm going to have to agree with bug here. I mean what the heck is that? I looks like a tippmann triumph with the foregrip cutoff and a stock attached. In other words it looks like an electric stapler with a stock attached.

I don't know about the stapler portion, but yes the grip looks like a Triumph.

I understand the utility of it, but the aesthetics... mrmhhrhmrhmmrhm. I am unconvinced.

How do you define real or faux Milsim?

I've designed a few guns that didn't look anything like real steel at the time and then a year or so later there is a real gun released that looks just like it.

Is Milsim just for replica's? Or is a style that let's people feel like they can enact a role with the product?

I would define MILSIM as using replicas where practical. Faux MILSIM would be something that is presented as "militaryesque" in style but is not actually authentic enough to pass even the most light scrutiny.

An AutoCocker VF Tactical is a good example of this. Even Tippmans (Stock A5/M98c) are really Faux MILSIM, but they get a free pass because they used to design and manufacture real military arms...

Then surely nothing in paintball could ever be Milsim in your eyes, because it is impossible for it to be a full replica. The simple problem of barrel size would screw that up on most, if not all guns, wouldn't it?

The TM-7, BT Delta Etc. wouldn't be Milsim.

They're really not. Its very hard/impossible to get real milsim in paintball. This is what god invented airsoft for.

There are plenty of AK/AR immitation markers in the milsim market, and frankly designing something like that doesn't excite me at all.

So when doing a milsim design for the fun of it, I'm going to try something unique or different. Besides, I like the way 'future' weapons (Tavor, P90, F2000, etc.) seem to be going in terms of styling, more of a sci-fi look about them rather than the industrial look of weapons platforms from the 80s / 90s.

It is impossible to do a full replica, true. The RAP and MILSIG mag fed markers come close. The T8 is dressed up better could be close as well. I am at odds with this though, as I think going a full MILSIM route in a design sense could put player risk based on the close resemblance of real firearms.

I understand as such. MILSIM isn't my bag at all like I said.

I still don't like it, and that is where you and I will have to differ on opinions.

Haha - fair enough! I'm used to critisism on my designs, but it's usually the typical "hurrrr gun x mated with gun y" pbn comment, so I appreciate the comments.

PS: Simon the TM7 is awesome to shoot, got to hold one last weekend for the first time and the thing that impressed me most was how low the hopper sits, it's a real compact little unit.
