If you think civilian life is worse than military you are doing it wrong. I have more free time, spend more time with my family, way better pay, way better benefits, enjoy hanging out with my co-workers, my bosses are not complete ****ing morons who just happen to hang around long enough to make rank, new ideas are actually encouraged, and so so so many more. I am thankful for my time in since it allowed me to land the job I have, but beyond that there is no amount of money in the world that would make me want to go through all that bull**** again.

So I just got an email back from Northrup Grumman. I should expect a call next week about an Engineer (lvl 2) position at my last command (training facility, would be working in labs).
I think I might be able to wear sandals, Hawaiian shirts, and shuffle around the building aimlessly year round.
Also applied for a few helicopter contract jobs in Afghanistan/Kuwait/Iraq. $150k+ and tax free to boot (I fink).
We'll see what happens.
