they gave us stuff that was one a week. mefloquine i believe it was called. all that stuff did was give me horrid sleep, and the ****ing shakes.

Doxycycline does cause most people to have funky dreams.

I saw once case of malaria my entire time working in the hospital on KAF, and it was some green beret who was out in the sticks for a while.

God, I remember this one where there was this average height chick with 1950's styled jet black hair. She only spoke in french, and when she was getting hammered it was the hottest **** ever. I tried to get my wife to speak another language while we were doing it... but when she spoke German it reminded me too much of Nazis yelling at Jews in concentration camps in movies

on KAF around the NATO dorms all you saw during the hot months were

A. Lithuanians, Czech's, polish, and Latvian dudes smoking in their whitey tidy's.
B. french dudes tanning in speedos
C. more people tanning....ridiculous.

All I did was get paler and paler. Working nights on a Carrier equals seeing the sunset and sunrise and that is it. At least I worked on deck, I couldn't imagine being a nuke down in the bowls of the ship. When we pulled into Palma I went out and layed on the beach for a few hours. The next day when i woke up my eyes were swollen shut due to sunburn. It was ****ty.
