Gun help please fellas!?!
Hey guys thanks for checking into my thread. After hours and hours of reseach and my head going nuts im still lost on what gun to get. A long time ago I used to play back when I had a mephisto lol...it was when electric guns were just being made...spyder hadn't even had one out and damn i sold my scuba tank for my compressed air .
Anyhow...I need help choosing a good rec electric gun and tourney gun mixed. one that doesnt chop balls ( i know you need a good hoper and good paint) but you know what im saying....
I was thinking like an A1 angel or like a ion smart parts setup...im the type of person that will want the best after a month sooo what do you guys think... sorry for the noob question I just have two many question....ps I really like the style of the ions! they Look like automags.
PS I know nothing about these electric guns! and I dont want to spend 1000 bucks either. I was planning on buying a used setup for now . so i need to know what to look for.
In return I can talk verizon for you if you have questions about the new smart phones lol...

ok theres a bunch of guns in that rec/speedball range
ion is an ok started but you might wanna upgrade pretty quick. a1 angels i would stay away from just from the fact that no paintball shop really carries there parts and techs on them anymore.
i would start at looking at the top companies like ego dye for speedball guns then look at empire tippman and BT for woodsball guns. figure out what type of paintball your going to play/enjoy more then go look more into detail with that type.
tippman has alot of different guns but mainly for recball same with BT they focus on that paintball.
most companies will have catalogs on the newest stuff they have if you go to there sites
dont really wanna write much on here you can PM me if you need more advice

Remember you want a marker with little to no maintenance and readily available parts if something goes wrong.
recommendations:
ego7 - 350-400
ego8 - 425-525
dm7 - 375-450
dm8 - 400-500

get a dm7 or a ego seven, they are the best balance of everything, and the current predecessors in the series only has slight upgrades, that in my opinion minimally improve performance.

A Ion or any other SP gun would be the worst to get, since they went under.

I say get a used mini
Single tube design, just like mags, he's sensor just like en emag and it has eyes, so it won't chop
Cheap also around 2 bills, hpa only btw
Or you can get the empire axe, its the minis big brother, same style, just bigger, more expensive, but can be had for around 5 bills I think

A mini invert is FAIL! too high maintenance and very sensitive. Horible design and feel IMO

If ur budget is that high id get an 08 ego over the dye or mini
Less maintanence and trouble, and mini's aren't for everyone, they're small
I've never owned a dm so I can't vouch for them

Go for the mini they do not require much maintenance. Most people own ego's because they do not know anything about basic maintenance for a marker. I can probably take apart an angel and clean it and put it back together in 7 -10 min and I'm 17 and I still have the patience to sit for 7 min and learn simple maintenance. The angel only has 13 or 14 o-rings.
And the Dm's require more maintenance than a ego or any other marker.
The first run of mini's had problems I would go for a v2 or v3 mini. I heard the dp g4's or spec-r's were a good marker ask chuck about them. If you are thinking about an angel ask jay or bob on angel owners.
Or if you want an invert mini you can get them pretty cheap on here, Plus with the smart parts marker issue the only problem I have had was the hose's but after I fixed that the gun worked well for a year without maintenance plus ions go for about $50-$100 dollars and are really great marker's I don't see why people do not like them I think they say they are bad because of what other people say.
Also its good to have an ion right now all of the parts that cost like 50-190 for an ion are 75% off right now.
