We practice at PB World in Orlando, and right now the cost is all out of our own pocket. We're hoping to get funding through the school soon, but I still expect us to have to pay out of pocket for this semester also.
Just as a rough estimate, I probably spent around $1k for last semester. Includes practices and two out of state tournaments.
But that's just rough^^ I'd have to go and figure out how many practices we had.

No problem. Most of our guys have only played NCPA events, so mostly D5 and D4. There are only a few D3, D2 players.
We do plan on attending nationals this year. I think it's a feat in itself for a brand new team to compete in every regional event and nationals and to do as well as we have so far is a bonus.
There are no prizes in NCPA, so everyone just plays for the love of the game and bragging rights.

Is UCF going to be playing CFPS xball? USF will be looking to set up scrims at CFP.

We had talked about it, but our main focus is NCPA. After nationals and during the summer is when we'd probably play CFPS if anything.
We also talked about heading to CFP a weekend or two before the NCPA event on the 19th, hopefully we can coordinate and setup scrims between all the Florida schools in the area

Sounds good, we are planning on Nationals but any other NCPA event just isn't cost effective for us, especially with regional xball in our backyard. When you plan on heading out to CFP get ahold of me or Garret and we will try to make arrangements to be out there.

So the price per point isn't all that different, and it is right after a CFPS event and before nationals, bit hard to do financially without the school giving us much money. If we can do it we will, the FPO really hurts though, and what quality is the FP?

still working on the details with the paint prices. We understand the paint issues because we pay out of pocket as well.

Who are you trying to get paint through? CFP or another vendor?
I saw in the Gator thread that someone had estimated a 5 man line spending 150 a person, our problem is that for about 175 a person (8 man line) we can play 2x as many points and have a shot at prizes, and a series prize.
I love the NCPA and want to see the colleges go at it, but without the school backing us I doubt we will do any AA events. If it were a class A event it would be more appealing but I guess we will just have to wait for nationals.
If you could get paint down around 30 a case range it may be a possibility.
