From our standpoint, we see the Etek4 being better. Because you spend less time messing with your gun and more time playing paintball.
Both are great shooting markers dont get me wrong, but when it comes down to maintenance and common issues, the Etek is easiest to take care of.
The amount of Axes that come into the shop with 2 common issues:
1. Reg problems, because they are non serviceable
2. Eye board malfunctions, because people never clean them due to the amount of steps to access them.
Most people will just swab into the front breach or feed tube when there is paint on the eyes. But depending how long the paint actually sits on the eye leads, it will corrode the eye leads off of the board.
The only real problems that Eteks have is usually operator error. Or if an O-ring fails somewhere, which is fairly easy to diagnose. If it leak from here, check this o-ring.. leaking here, check that o-ring.
