Eating MORE

Summer's ending. Winter's coming. Time to quit being a lazy *** and start working out again.
The problem I had before was weight. I'm 5'10 and I weigh 155 on a good day.
So a week ago, i decided to keep track of my caloric intake for the day to see if i'm keeping up with what my body needs. For this past week, i've been eating as much as I can, but i've only been able to average about a little under 3000 a day, when I need at least 3500 a day with my metabolism.
Do any of you guys know any tricks or have any experience with adding some calories a day? I don't think I can possibly eat any more without puking, and i'm really trying here, but i can't get any mass on.

make this shake: 3 cups milk, 2 cups oats (pre blend them so they turn into a powder), couple tbsp of peanut butter, 1 banana, and 1 cup cottage cheese or greek yogurt for more protein.

thats 1000 cal at least right there, without having to spend money on the weight gainer shakes. I usually have one for breakfast

eat more oats, drink more milk.

innout 3x3's
icecream+whey+milk+banana shake
lots of nuts between meals
peanut butter by the spoonful
cottage cheese

at the beginning, eat every few hours, even if its a snack every other meal. eventually your body will want more food at the smaller intervals and its easier to get food in.

Thanks a lot for that advice. I just made a half portion of one of those shakes and it was great. Real easy 500-600 calories.

Yeah i'm working on it. I've kind of got a good idea of what kind of foods I need to eat, i just need to work on the motivation of eating that much a day.

I feel you, it's hard for me to get to 2k.

if i feel like i am going to miss i usually hit a pbj or nutella sandwich, ice cream, whey and oats, granola, etc. switched from skim, to 2%, and sometimes whole milk. i try to stick to my macros so its usually fats that i am able to build with at the end of the day.

Read through some of these articles, mostly the non-specific ones but the ones that talk about eating as the more important half of your training. You'll get the picture real quick that eating basically is training.

i like the way you think. I ate a mickey d's double hamburger with a 4 or 6 piece(I forgot which size they offer there) chicken nugget twice a week for a month to put on weight. It worked; sometimes you have to "dirty bulk" to put on weight.

I just started off my morning with one of those shakes. 1140 calories of champion. I also premade some PB&J sammiches to have throughout the day. This might be the day I break my hard-gainer curse
Thanks guys.

Thanks a lot for the advice guys. Knocked out an easy 4800 calories today. Now i'm definitely on my way to a good clean bulk.
4800 calories
67g of fat
487g of carbs
184g of protein
38g of fiber
I'd say that's pretty good for a little ***** like me haha

If you're eating almost 5kcal, shoot for at the very least 200g of protein, probably 300-400.
