its all about tuning of the whole marker. i havent had any chop on any of markers. depending on which hopper is use can cause the "thought of ball chop".

I don't know about the epic or alien but the nova is a awesome concept. I've owned one since 02 and can vouch for how well they operate.

I tested it out just last week and It had not been used in a couple years but worked right away with no leaks. It was way more accurate the the geo I was testing. I have a reflex sight on mine and the shots were spot on at Various ranges. Those brass barrels really do help.

Novas didn't fail because they were a bad design mine can run 15 bps with a rotor and shoot even when I only have 100 psi in my bottle. It is the quietest gun I've owned and when it shoots at 290psi most people think its a tippman out of air.

The gun wasn't perfect it is heavy bulky and when idiots removed the sight rail the back cap came off. But there is nothing wrong with how it shot.

The epic, is epic! lol But, in all reality, any gun is going to chop paint in one of several ways. Eyes will not prevent it, and not having a bolt, will also not prevent it. Basically, the only thing preventing you from breaking balls as frequently, is basically having eyes, low pressure, a cupped bolt, or bolt-less system, and thicker paint walls... I mean, it has been discussed to death, and no matter how hard you try to justify a realistic, "bolt-less" gun, you can't. I can see that it would make the material cost cheaper for the manufacturer, but for the consumer, it's still several hundred, to a thousand dollars more than we realistically want to spend on the technology. Am I right?

Let's combine no bolt with an rf chip to sync hopper and marker making a trap door unnecessary and chopping paint most unlikely

Has anyone made advances on this. I have an idea that would allow minimal air loss but still have a good rate of fire capability

A new gun at PBE just debuted that does not use a bolt to fire a paintball. There should be a thread up for it soon.

Have not heard or seen anything about it. What is it?
